Reserved the table online the day before for a waterfall view. Arrived a little early and had to wait for our table but not a big deal. Place was nicely decorated for the holiday season. We have come here many times, but I’ve not been recently in the past couple of years. Opted to try the great feast land option and it was delicious. For $36 per person first you get your choice of soup of the day which was beef stew which was excellent or the salad bar. The sides that come with the meal are green beans, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, and cranberry sauce. A brown gravy and a tan gravy was also served on the meat plate. The meat plate consisted of meatloaf, turkey on a bed of stuffing and barbecue pulled pork. You could order more food if you wanted to for no additional charge. We opted to get more turkey, stuffing and gravy along with mashed potatoes as they only gave a small portion of mashed potatoes for three people. Overall, for the value of the meal, it was well worth it. Finally to top things off dessert was included and it came with a sticky bread pudding, which was delicious. Service was great and food was excellent. Would highly recommend and return again to have the great feast.

I’ve been to The Old Grist Mill twice now, and both visits were absolutely fantastic! The unlimited salad bar is always fresh and full of great options, and that signature cinnamon twist bread is downright addictive. I had the prime rib on my last visit—cooked perfectly, tender, and flavorful. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the service makes you feel like family. A special shout-out to Michael, who helped us on our second visit—he was the real star of the night! Friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was just right. Can’t wait to come back again soon!

It’s been over a decade since I ate here but the food is as amazing as I remembered! The service was great! Our waitress, Morgan, was perfect. And that cinnamon bread is something that will keep you up at night if you don’t take a loaf home! 10 out of 10 stars!

Host was great, server Khristain was very attentive and knowledgeable about my gf allergy. Make reservations ther was a wait. Pricey but had a nice vibe. Was decorated for fall, would go back to see how they decorate for Christmas season.

Hands down one of the best restaurants in New England. The historic charm, phenomenal food and exceptionally managed staff make this a must stop. My family and I were lucky enough to visit the week of Christmas, and the decorations were phenomenal.

Ok so this place visibly.. beautiful very pretty..nice atmosphere..the service on the other hand TERRIBLE!!! I don’t know if out waitress was new but man no bread we asked for drinks it took forever..I got the prime rib it was good I asked for it medium and it was rare..very rare my fiance got the fish and chips they came and it was wet his fries, wet. He sent it back they refried it but he didn’t get it back until everyone was done eating. I also got a sangria I believe it made me sick I don’t know maybe it was the rare prime rib but I was so nauseous I had to leave so I wouldn’t vomit on the table my fiance also was nauseous on the drive home..I probably won’t be going back

Attended the “Love Letters from the Front” dining event and had a spectacular time. I was so moved by the reenactment/ reading of the letters that I teared up. You could feel the love from the letter reading. The 2 performers did an amazing job.
The food at the Grist Mill is always amazing.
