Walked in and the place immediately smells of fish (which I do get, but just to point out) – a smell you can get used to though. However the service was slow, considering we were the only ones eating, and only two other customers in the pub, I thought the service would be a bit quicker. The food was lovely, presented well. A couple in my group did say the food was a bit cold when it shouldn’t have been. We stuck with the £12 lunch deal, which was good value for money, however everything else was very much on the expensive side.

A very nice pub next to St Nicholas Market in the middle of Bristol. The place has a lot to offer if you want to enjoy a drink and watch some sports. On a cloudy Sunday afternoon it was full of football fans, so we drank our pints in a lively atmosphere

Took a visit for dinner, decent pub, the limited menu was to be expected given the restrictions during C19.
The waitress Zoe was awesome and so so helpful.
Beer quality was good and the food decent.
Nice pub all round.
The cleaning regime on customers leaving was again exceptional, this was noticed by myself and colleague both of whom are H & S professionals.

A firm favourite of mine when I’m visiting Bristol. The staff are professional, the food is awesome and the London Pide is spot on! Great atmosphere whether drinking, eating or watching sport.

Came here crashing chowder based on the reviews but felt simple changes would have drastically improved in, such as lightly blending the potato into the cream, making the potato chunks smaller and able to cool more uniformly with the soup as well as thickening the chowder (broth a bit thin), and having some chunks that weren’t just potato in it, such as celery or fish (only two chunks of haddock for the bowl). The toast and butter on the side were cold to start and ended up being untouched.

Very traditional looking pub with nice and chill staff. Nice selection of beers and some ciders are available too.
The scampi chips I took for lunch were just wonderful, hot, tasty and super crunchy. Pudding was very good as well.
I’d indeed recommend

Love this place for its calming decor, great playlist, and oh my the brekkie brochie buns are fresh soft and oh so yummy.
I had mine stuffed with mushrooms and a chilli jam.
The staff are attentive and helpful, and the open kitchen is wonderful to see as you watch the chefs prepare your food.
As a plus, they also have coconut milk, which in bristol for a choice of milk is hard to find elsewhere.
