I ordered the Reuben sandwich from the specials menu and it was excellent. It was very busy during our visit, which shows how popular the place is, but everything still came out tasting great. I was surprised to see the sandwich priced at over twenty four dollars on the final bill, so I would recommend being aware that some items can be on the pricey side. My husband had the hand breaded chicken tenders with french fries. He said both the tenders and the fries were excellent and the tenders were very large.
We each ordered a cocktail. He had the Super Margarita – it was strong and very good. I had the Pusser’s Painkiller. The flavor was great, but the chunks of coconut made it difficult to drink near the end because the straw kept pulling in the coconut pieces. It was not a complaint, more of a challenge, and I ended up not finishing it.
The outdoor seating has plenty of picnic tables and high tops. We were seated at a high top and enjoyed the view, but the flies were overwhelming, which made that part a bit distracting. Even with that, the service was excellent and very friendly.
Overall, it was a very good first visit with great food, strong cocktails, and a beautiful waterfront setting. I am glad we finally went and would return again, especially on a nice day.
We have been to just about every restaurant in the area and on our final night in town we decided to try the Old Fish House and we were blown away by the food. Service was amazing, the location and atmosphere is hard to beat and the food was actually incredible. There are a lot of places in town with a similar feel to them but the food is what makes this place a must visit. Had the catch of the day (grouper cheeks) and the red snapper… both were amazing but I’ll be back just for the snapper. If I could visit just one restaurant in the area every time I’m here, it’s going to be this place.
