The Old Capitol Tea Room is a privately owned residence. The tea room hosts 40 themed tea events throughout the year in addition to private parties for groups of 15 or more. Tickets are sold for each themed tea event that must be purchased in advance. As the tea room is for special events only, we are not open daily/weekly. All ticket sales are final upon purchase. Tickets are $35-40/person. The Tea Room is NOT OPEN daily/weekly.

Tucked away in this small southern Indiana town is an entertainment gem for all your senses. Walking up to the beautiful house that transforms as you walk in the door. You are seated with your party at a table with a three tiered tower of finger foods. The staff being around different teas to enjoy before the show. As you wait just taking in the sights and sounds of the room and rooms around you, you eat and drink. Before the entertainment stars, they bring a pot of tea to enjoy as the staff starts the entertainment. The entertainment was wonderful. The actors painted a wonderful picture with there voices. The story was wonderful and was engaging. I can see why it is so hard to find a open show. We will be back again and considering it’s almost 1.5 hours drive one way, that is saying something.

We’ve been to the Old Capital Tea Room for two events now and they have absolutely exceeded my expectations both times. It is great fun! They stay completely in character the whole evening. The tea is amazing. The venue is charming. It’s a 10 out of 10 experience. The Hocus Pocus tea party was to die for!

We had a truly exceptional experience!!! This talented couple, experienced in theater, puts their passions to bear in an oh-so-perfect setting! We honestly didn’t know what to expect, but we had such a great time. If you enjoy theater and the movies they feature, we strongly encourage you to make the time for this experience. Absolutely amazing time tonight. Being a history buff and a music lover watching Jeff and Carrie perform The music that helped win the war, a tribute to WWII was very fun and enjoyable. They are both gracious hosts and put on a great event.

Always a relaxing and enjoyable time. Every pot of tea we’ve had here has been good. If you choose to join on a themed night where some acting is happening, lucky you. The owners have well rounded acting skills and cover a wide range of abilities. Refreshing to watch their take on Sleepy Hollow radio show, I Love Lucy, etc. We always look forward to the next event to be scheduled.
