This was my first time here. Had the fish platter blackened style and the fish hooks appetizer, with a coca cola. Came to $47.xx. was pretty good. I really enjoyed the shrimp on the fish platter and the fish was good as well. The dipping sauce for the fish hooks was fantastic. I also got the sweet potato fries with my platter. They came waffle cut, i’m not a fan of waffle cut. But they were good nonetheless. Overall I had an enjoyable meal and an enjoyable experience here, and will definitely return again when I am in the area.

We stop by for lunch! Jacob was our waiter he was very nice! He took care of us. He made sure we had everything. I really enjoyed him as our waiter. This was my first time ordering the Burger with fries ! My granddaughter had the mini corn dog & tater tots a specialty drink ! My daughter had crab cake she had a coctail! Everything was good. My burger was truly fulfilling.

We’ve always loved Old Bag of Nails! Last night I got the boneless wings, they are always my go-to, so good and crispy. My husband loves the buffalo chicken wrap. We also got the spinach artichoke dip, very yummy! I got a fun Watermelon drink, it was so good! Service here is always great, pleasant and helpful!

Always enjoyable. We were in the “early” crowd and were seated immediately. As we were leaving there were about a dozen people waiting to be seated. On a cool, breezy January evening it would have been nice to have the fireplaces lit, which adds to the atmosphere and makes the seating area cozier. The booths are large enough to accommodate groups of four, including all of the plates, utensils, and other items fir a group that size, which make them JUST a bit too large for two to have a quiet conversation — it felt like we could have played a game of foosball whole waiting for our food. That said, everything was very good, as usual, and we will be returning.

The Pickerington Old Bag of Nails was clean, and the food was very good. The staff was friendly and attentive. Our food was brought out promptly and it was warm and fresh. There is plenty of parking, at least for lunch. The only drawback to the restaurant is it is dimly lit. At our table it make it challenging to read the menu.

For a chain restaurant that we have enjoyed many times, this location is definitely the weak link. An early Friday evening we were quoted a 40 – 45 minute wait with atleast 4 open tables ( which means they are understaffed.) We were called earlier though and sat for our disappointing dining experience. I ordered a specialty drink off the specials flyer on the table to be informed 10 minutes later that they did not have all the ingredients. I then ordered another drink off the drink menu to have it arrive 25 minutes later, after we had finished our appetizer and my wife had finished half her drink. Our waitress was obviously new and did not know the menu. We both ordered fish – from a fish restaurant, to receive overcooked fish. The blackened was worse than the fried but all overcooked. After all of this I receive a bill that was incorrect, charged for an extra fish dinner.

Their food os good but there customer service has always sucked. They used to have an offensive aign up that said WHITE FRONT they finally read the room and moved it. Second I always have to wait and others has came after me. I think they dont take kindly to brown people. I will never visit thosnone again ever.

We went out to dinner on 11/26/2025. It was busy and a 30 min wait for a table so we opted to sit at the bar for dinner. We both ordered burgers, mine with fries and the other dinner with broccoli. They forgot the broccoli and I asked for mustard which they also forgot. By the time they finally brought it my burger was cold. Then I felt someone tugging on my sleeve…I turned around to find a homeless woman begging me for money. I told her no and then got the attention of the bar tender to tell her it was off putting to be harassed while eating our dinners. The bar tender (I did not get her name, a short Asian girl with glasses) ignored what I told her after I pointed out the woman who had now moved on down the bar begging other customers for money. We did not leave a tip because it was not deserving and did not appreciate the bar tender not listening to us. There are plenty of other establishments who do better in PIckerington. We will not be back.

It pains me to write this as a long time fan of this location, the last 4 times (in 5 weeks) we have been in have been told there is over a 20 min wait. It even happened again today at 2 Pm on a Sunday, the last time was 5PM on a Tuesday. I’m a big Old Bag Fan ( I miss all all the locations that are no longer with us) and I cant get our party of 4 seated quickly on the slower days, we want to support this restaurant and cant seem to do it in a timely manner. Its like watching a slow motion train wreck and its really sad as all the vibes could be here for such a good spot. We want to support this location….its hard as of late. Hopefully Gaylord sees this.
UPDATE: After 4 more visits since the original review…. things are improving, still saw people waiting at 3pm on a Sunday, but overall the experience is trending upward.

It was my birthday so I chose this place to go with my two sisters. Waitress knew it was my birthday but no special dessert or treat.
Service was just ok. Ordered fish and shrimp and specifically ask for crispy fries as the fish and shrimp sit on top of fries. Well they were NOT crispy at all. Fish was good and plenty of crispy shrimp, had them Eddie style, which was spicy and they were on the verge of being too spicy. I would get regular the next time.
Overall it was good but I guess I expected more, nothing to write home about. Won’t be rushing back anytime soon, so many other places that I like more with friendlier service.
