We always love stopping by Old Bag of Nails and it is great to be able to grab something yummy, filling and relatively inexpensive. You cannot go wrong with the fish and chips here.

I have tried some other things, which have been good, but the fish is a whole different level of good. Grab these with the thin fries and you will thank me later. My daughter likes to get the shrimp or the mussels, but my wife converted me and now I get the fish and chips every time.

Being your appetite, the pieces of fish are very large and tasty. We always have enough for a second meal at a later date.

We brought 3 little ones with us and had a high chair, coloring crayons and a kids menu that they could color on. Very child friendly, but there is a bar on one side.

We’re still in Ohio on our travels. Craving fish and chips. This place did not disappoint. Two huge slices of fish. Coleslaw was awesome. Just a nice feel good place. Place was clean. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Christine our server was great. Will be back there before we leave out of Ohio.

Went shopping on Valentines Day and ended up here for a late lunch. They seemed to be short-staffed but all in all, it was a good experience. Will be back.

They offer plenty of parking and a nice outdoor patio area. The bar has Loads of seating around it. We didn’t have to wait for a table but they do have a small waiting room. There is four top tables, booths and large groups have room to sit as well. There’s lots of televisions around the bar and dining room so you won’t miss any of the game. The mushroom appetizer is plenty for the whole table and absolutely delicious. I loved the salmon and veggie kabobs as well. The fish sandwich is huge! My husband loved it but could only eat half of it. The restaurant was clean, tables are spaced apart so seating is comfortable. Our waitress was great and checked back often to make sure we were happy with everything. We will be back!

Without a doubt the best fried fish in central Ohio. Our waitress Savanah was awesome, made some killer recommendations on the menu and we grateful for the heads up on the carrot cake for desert because it was the BEST we’ve ever had! Great food, great staff and a great atmosphere.

Busy on a Sunday afternoon but service was prompt. Food was very good. Fish sandwich was large and delicious. Potstickers and miso soup also very good.

We stopped for dinner last night after shopping, and were super excited about their appetizers – fried pickle SPEARS and hand-battered mushrooms. They were both fantastic! My entree, however, their house specialty, just didn’t hit the spot for me. I asked for Eddie-style (which is a spicier batter), which was good, but the most important thing to me with fried fish is the crunch of the batter. I even asked for extra crispy, and it still wasn’t. My steak fries were also underdone. This was a bummer. My family enjoyed their entrees – a Reuben sandwich and potato skins. It wasn’t a bad experience by any stretch — the server was fantastic — I just expected more. Maybe next time.

Service was very SLOW even though they were not busy. Waitress was friendly, but forgot what drinks we ordered and had to come back and ask us… and also forgot the entrees and had to ask again. No check in’s for refills. Fried pickles were good, but VERY HOT, burned my mouth. French dip sandwich was good. Fish & chips was just “ok”. Food not worth the prices. Atmosphere was dark and dingy. Whole restaurant had a musty smell.

Great food, little pricey but worth every penny nice size portions. If you get the fish and chips with shrimp, definitely get the eddie style nice, subtle hint of spice

We have been here several times.
We usually sit at the bar.
Tonight we got the worst service ever here.
It was during a televised football game and there was ONLY 1 Bartender and she the only busy one. I’m not sure why the bar was so grossly understaffed.
Such a shame.
IMO, it’s incredibly overpriced for mediocre food and service
