We’ve eaten there twice in the last month. The barbecue is great, people very friendly. It’s close to Dakin’s Lake county park, will be on our list of favorites.

Absolutely adorable place! That service was very familiar and friendly, the accommodations were immediate. They saw we had kids and immediately wanted to turn on cartoons for them. How very nice. This menu is all the favorites you would want to find at Grandma’s Thanksgiving dinner or Grandpa’s summer barbecue. We all ate our plates clean. It was delicious! This was the best choice to meet up with family as a halfway point within an hour and a half radius of choices. Thank you for your service, we enjoyed your establishment.

Wow, what a great place. The food was fantastic. The service was pleasant and warm welcoming. Kid friendly environment. Traveled there for a half way point for Christmas with family and couldn’t have been more happy about it. It’s definitely a little gem in Iowa and it’s a place you will never for get. Definitely will be back there again. Highly recommend!

Amazing food. Wonderful staff. Super clean environment. We have never had anything that we didn’t like. Burnt ends hit the spot tonight. Mac and cheese was compared to “grandmas” which is a favorite by my kids so that is a win. Sad they didn’t have the homemade applesauce anymore but the mashed potatoes and gravy were a delicious second choice.

This was delicious! I had their special, chicken and noodles with corn and mash potatoes. Boy had the hot beef (brisket) sandwich. Both were so yum and brought me back to some good old home cooked meals. Definitely will be coming back.

Great spot off the beaten path! Definitely suggest stopping in if you can. Brisket was juicy, flavorful and tender, and mac and cheese and coleslaw were both fantastic sides. Worth a drive if you don’t live nearby.

Do you love a hot beef sandwich? If so, this is by far the best one around! It’s my go to meal here Also, I have 4 kids and kids meal aren’t cheap anymore but they are really affordable here and it’s a fair amount of food! I HIGHLY recommend stopping if you are in the area. The service and the food are AMAZING!

My husband and I had been talking about going to the Oil Press and it just so happened we had to come to Zearing to bring my niece home.
We decided to go here and eat and we were not disappointed! We were greeted by friendly faces and with a very welcoming atmosphere.
The staff went over the items and how the menus were displayed and alot of other options that we could get.
The order was made quickly and was delicious, hot and filling.
We will definitely be going back here again!

Not a typical BBQ joint a perfect blend of homestyle and smoke! Had the Texan, hot beef and daily special – would eat any of them again (weekly if I lived closer). Owner is just as outstanding and amazing as her food making you feel like you grow up here (and like your grandma’s house leaving so full you might need a nap). Treat yourself to some take-home kringla it is just as good as I remember my Bestemors being!!
