I used to have a place in Bethel Connecticut in an 1848 colonial building where PT Barnum once had a Oddville stage and Mark Twain played pool downstairs. It was called Center for New Media & the Arts, and was an art gallery and performing arts space. It was absolutely a beautiful place in the Odeon reminds me of it in some ways.
You walk into the Odeon and you feel like you’ve stepped into the old west. The downstairs has a beautiful old bar and a couple of pool tables, and the history of the building is clear as soon as you enter. When you walk upstairs, it has a similar space as the place I had in Connecticut. 15 foot ceilings a large open room and a stage. Absolutely beautiful and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

This is a really cool historical building in Dayton right off the main highway. Definitely worth a stop just to look around and feel the history of the place. Have a drink or a soda, play a little cornhole out front, visit with the locals and take some cool photos. Definitely a cool local spot with various event scheduled if you’re nearby you really should check them out!

We love going to the Odeon Saloon!
Historical building, fantastic atmosphere.
George the owner is simply a great guy.
We went in the first time on St. Patty’s Day. They provided a traditional corned beef & cabbage meal including Irish Soda Bread, and offered a variety of Irish inspired drinks. It was so much fun!
The Odeon Saloon offers historical lectures, line dancing & live music.
There are certainly Irish Eyes smiling here!!

A MUST place to go to when in Northern Nevada. The Saloon is every thing you expect from the 1800s. The owner is fantastic. The pasties are DELICIOUS! Great atmosphere!

My wife and I live in Carson City but went to the grand opening of the Odeon Saloon back in February of 2023 and have been coming back ever since and mainly because the place is just so darn cool! We love that it’s in downtown Dayton, filled with history, is fun to be in and Joanna makes an outstanding Picon Punch – one of the best we’ve had in all of Northern Nevada. If there’s a downside to this place, it’s that they don’t serve food but fortunately, J’s Old Town Bistro is just a few short steps away and they have killer Italian food. If you’re into old town saloons, this is a stop you have to make.

Free billiards, mixed crowd for sure. Old western feel to it. No one ever asked us if we wanted a drink, but they were busy in their defense. Overall, a step up from a dive; but not a leap.

Can’t say enough about this place, amazing community place to hang out with friends. Jen and Spencer are so friendly and know their way around a bar. We appreciate that a private function is kept that way by turning away people not invited. So happy to have this historic building back.

New owners and the place is looking great. Great Bartender and service in this great little historic town. This is our second visit and so glad the new owners are keeping it going!

This place has the best energy in Northern Nevada. I love that they’ve kept the same style from when it was built back in the 1860s. George and David make a mean drink too. Will be back for more, no doubt.
