Delicious from start to finish. The Wagu sirloin was cooked to perfection and the sides just as delicious. The scallops were perfect. For dessert we had the bread pudding but the star was that popcorn ice cream…never stop making that! We will be back. Mark was a great server.

Such a wonderful meal!!! The restaurant itself was very intimate with a great atmosphere; a refreshing change from the hustle and bustle of other fine dining restaurants. Our server Kevin was attentive and knowledgeable and the Owner/Chef checked on our table personally. The food was incredible! We got the swordfish special, the pork chop (a must order!!!!), and the pear vanilla caramel cake. All of it was perfection. This is a real Vero Gem, if you want a delicious meal, an inviting atmosphere and to support a local business, make The Oar your next dinner spot!

This is a gem in downtown Vero beach. Mark was our server and was excellent! The chef makes everything homemade with unique and interesting flavors. The pork chop with sweet potato puree and pear with rosemary compote is fantastic!! All dressings and desserts are homemade. Excellent wine list. The atmosphere is old world Florida. We dined outside in the quaint courtyard by candlight by the fountain. If you are a foodie you will love this place. We would recommend it to anyone. Food is about $100 per person. That included wine, appetizer, and desserts besides entrees. We cannot say enough about the restaurant. We are definitely returning to try other entrees.

WOW! From the first bite of herbed house-butter and warm bread to the finishing spoonful of creamy strawberry-basil heaven, the unique flavors exploded throughout the meal! Ceviche with pork belly, amazing! Watermelon salad- I could eat everyday!

This was an amazing dining experience. The service was fantastic! We had the duck confit and fried green tomato appetizers and the fish of the day and pork chop for an entree. Hands down one of the best prepared meals we have had in years! Everything perfect!

Found this GEM on a trip to Vero Beach Art Museum. This restaurant is amazing. We are foodies and will travel for a good meal. The Oar is affordable great dining with outstanding service. Our server BG was top shelf. Made excellent suggestions and helped us have a memorable meal. Extremely nice small dining area in the entrance bar. Outdoor dining in a lovely courtyard. Affordable very good wine list. I’ll be back.

I have been to many restaurants throughout Florida, in Indian River this is the best restaurant my wife and I have had dinner at. The owner (the chef) is an amazing person. Please give it a try I am sure it will be worth it!
