I was recently here for my birthday dinner & the experience was 10/10. From the excellent service to the immaculate vibes this place has created, I was stunned. The FOOD! my god, every single bite was perfection. Chef Ethan is absolutely amazing and had us in awe of our dishes. He is so talented and creative with the dishes. This experience made my day one to remember!
Thank you so much!

Our recent dinner at the Granville Inn was an experience worth sharing — and repeating. From the moment we walked through the doors, the tone was set by a warm welcome from the front desk greeter, followed by consistently friendly and attentive service throughout the evening. Our server, Daniel, was especially accommodating and personable, making sure our meal was not just good, but great.
The dining room atmosphere strikes a perfect balance: comfortably upscale without feeling stuffy or pretentious. It’s the kind of setting where you can relax and enjoy a special evening out while still feeling right at home.
As for the food, it was excellent across the board. I ordered the herb-crusted chicken, which was cooked to perfection—moist, flavorful, and complemented beautifully by a side of fingerling potatoes. The potatoes were so good, though we agreed they could benefit from a condiment option beyond just ketchup — a bit of sour cream or a light cheese sauce would elevate them even further.
My wife had the petite filet, expertly prepared to a perfect medium and seasoned just right. We would not hesitate to recommend either dish.
For dessert, we enjoyed a crème brûlée and a slice of what Daniel playfully (and accurately) described as a “monstrous” chocolate cake. The cake could easily satisfy four chocolate lovers — rich, decadent, and generous in size.
The price point reflects that of a finer dining experience, but based on the quality of the food, the ambiance, and the top-notch service, it’s well worth it. This was our first visit to the Granville Inn, but it certainly won’t be our last. It’s officially made it into our regular dining rotation — highly recommended.

This was our first time here as our son is a freshman at Denison University. We had a fantastic meal here. Super busy weekend, and they were very accommodating of a late reservation change. It’s a very cool room, and our server was so nice. Everyone loved their entrée. (I HIGHLY recommend the prime rib sandwich!) And our appetizer was huge!
Totally the best dinner in Granville.

Had a very good meal at the Restaurant at the Granville Inn. The atmosphere and service were fantastic. What an amazing atmosphere and facility. Hannah our server was so sweet and accommodating. She was fantastic. The menu is varied and well thought out. Our meals the walleye dinner and the lamb chops were very good. Each however had a couple of technical issues. They were not big enough to complain about at all. You have to give this place a try and enjoy a drink at the bar and enjoy a meal!

Great service and decor. Reminiscent of an old British manor with oak paneling throughout. They have a newer patio but it wasn’t warm enough. Scallops over corn and tomato risotto was delicious. The Brussels sprouts had just the right amount of sweetness. New York Strip steak was prepared properly with whipped potatoes, broccoli rabe, balsamic reduction onions and herb butter. Wedge salad was also very good with the correct amount of ingredients to give the salad the proper balance. Great selection of breads !

Beautiful restaurant with an amazing outdoor patio. The food and service were really amazing. We loved the blackened steak with Chimichurri sauce and the walleye with the horseradish potatoes. The apps were great too.

So over 30 years ago when I got married I wanted to have my rehearsal dinner at Granville Inn. I couldn’t afford it so we had it at a restaurant up the road. I had never eaten there and went for the first time this week while visiting Newark. I must say that the inside and decor is very cool. It reminds me of a restaurant I went to in Ireland last year. Nice big fireplaces and beautiful ornate woodwork. It was a very fancy restaurant. The service there was great. Our waitress took great care of us. I would say the food was very good, I wouldn’t say that it was great. The appetizers were the best part. Their rock shrimp was the highlight. But I also liked the Korean cauliflower. They do have a great selection of bread they bring to your table with salted butter. I would go there and get the bread and a bowl of soup and be satisfied. My entrée was a truffled ravioli. It was over salted and did not have anything or any flavor let’s set it apart. Most of our party had the scallops and I would say that they were huge portion size and they all said that they were very tasty. It is a very expensive place to eat and would prohibit me from going back on a regular basis. But I would go back for a special occasion.
