This was the first stop after taking the Victory Rover boat tour of the harbor. We were hungry, this was on location, so we stopped for something quick to eat. This is a cafe, a quick service style restaurant not a full service type venue. It’s not a huge menu, but what is there is pretty good stuff. Our group had the club, smash burger, grilled chicken wrap and tuna. We’re were all Very satisfied with our food, the chicken wrap and smash burger were both very good and reasonably priced. I also want to commend the staff. When we stopped, the bulk of the boat tour went in for food, a lot of people, at the time there were just two people working. One at the counter, and the chef. Chef was busy cooking up a storm in the back while the poor girl at the register was taking orders, stocking shelves, bussing tables, and delivering food. All while taking guff from some particularly rude patrons. She remained calm and composed and needs to be commended for the hard work. Be patient people, be understanding, don’t be so rude to clearly understaffed workers.

I see a lot of complaints from people thinking this is a restaurant rather than a Cafe. There’s a staff on only 4 or 5 handling groups of sometimes 200+. Everything is made to order other than some snacks up front, so you’d think people would be happy there’s hot and fresh food. The chicken ranch and smash burger are both phenomenal, and their burger are fresh made and seasoned in house. The staff are lovely and do pretty well considering some of the rude customers.

We just came back from the trip to norfolk, virginia last week. On the day of visiting USS wisconsin, we ordered 2 hot dogs and 1 Gyro and then 3 cups of foundation water. The food was good but they charged us 3*2.5 =$7.5 dollars for foundation water! I didn’t understand why water from the foundation is so expensive so my wife asked them. They told us we got 3 cups and each one is $2.5 dollars! I don’t know what else to say, and I don’t think it’s reasonable.

They run out of food often, they will cancel your order without telling you they ran out of the item you ordered. This is all while you while you sit there and wait 45min-1hr for the food…and the best part they’ll think they did you a favor just by canceling the order, because why would you ever want to eat food with the rest of your family…you’ll be fine!
If you walk up to order, and there are people in line before you just turn around and leave, they cannot handle more than 5 people.
As I waited in for our last two items, the cook, just moved food between boxes so the items that had grown cold could get reheated for the next order.

New management since last year. Significant improvements. I like the renovation to the building and how everything is clearly labeled now. Small bathroom next to the restaurant, which sucks. But apparently there’s a bigger on at the entrance. Definitely recommend the smash burger Jr and philly cheesesteak.

Unreliable, if they don’t open on time, don’t wait.
When you are the only meal option in a museum campus (that doesn’t allow outside food and drink), it is unacceptable to not be open on time.
The cafe was supposed to be open at 10AM. We wasted 45 minutes waiting for them to open. The ticket counter confirmed they were supposed to open at 10 and was shocked to hear they were still closed. At 12:15 they still weren’t open. So we gave up.
Thankfully, your tickets allow you to leave and return, so we walked a block to “restaurant row” and ate somewhere else.

Would not have suspected such good food at a museum cafe. The onion rings and Gyro are great.
