It was so greasy and I don’t understand why. I only ate half of it and it instantly upset my stomach.
I asked the waitress if they cooked it in oil or put oil on the panini press and she said no, and said that they only use aioli on the sandwich itself.
I showed the waitress how greasy it was (pressing down on it with my finger like in the video) and she showed zero concern.
Additionally, I had to flag her down for additional ranch for my salad, and again to get a drink refill and my bill. She was very monotone and while not outright rude, she was far from friendly.
My suggestion going forward… don’t put aioli on this panini and when a customer shows you how horribly greasy it is, offer a solution vs. just blowing them off.
I just moved to Lynden a month ago and am trying various restaurants. I can assure you, I won’t be back.
Service was very basic with the first server. We stayed for another round when some from the group left and the service was much better with a different server.
OMG. Never again at this place.
My favorite is their grass fed local beef smash burger cooked to perfection and the juicest most delicious burger in all of Whatcom County!!!! I had it with a side Cesar Salad instead of fries, this too was very good!!! Portion sizes are ample.
I did try the fish once, it was overcooked each time, sent it back to kitchen because it was literally burnt to crisp, and again returned to me still dry and burnt to crisp was the remake. Definitely consider different breading and less deep fry time will help!
Best fish for our area is Captain Cod’s Company a wholesaler with direct sales from hard working Alaskan fishermen that catch in Alaska only.
They have a food truck that travels all over Whatcom County to make all their breading and fish fresh per order!!! It’s possible they may also flash freeze to distribute to other restaurants to deep fry as well. What would be awesome is to fry in tallow versus canola oil.
In summary, great place to bring friends and family for good food overall.
Recommend asking to lightly fry fish and ask for extra lemons with malted vinegar with side Cesar Salad.
Be great to add New York Cheesecake and Lava Cake to dessert menu as well.
The food was so bad. Fries were obviously from a freezer and dry as the Sahara. I got a mule that may have had a splash of alcohol but was 99% ginger beer. The burgers were meh.
The service was disappointing as well. The waitress messed up our orders several times which would normally not elicit a comment from me but then the entire staff was loudly talking about how they hoped no one else would come in so they could leave early. Wish granted, we left as fast as we could.
Not worth the time or money.
