I’ve tried a few brands of Bourbon and their Buffalo Wings. Plus, I witnessed a smart kid chomping on a nice Hamburger and tried to bond with Buddy! She’s a good kid
Go for the grub and alcohol. Be friendly to the Massholes like me, and say hello to Buddy!
Cheers!

Had an incredible time at the Waverley. The service was excellent, the drinks were fairly Priced, and they have a bar dog! Buddy the bar dog kept coming over and hang out with me and my friends, how much more of a good time would you like? They have a freaking dog. Will be back without a doubt. The bartender Anthony had some incredible stories.

Visiting from Boston and ended up here after grabbing dinner at another establishment. My wife and I love finding the local spots when travelling, the Waverly did not disappoint. The beer was cold, the scene was awesome and the dog (Buddy) was great.

I give this place five stars because they have whiskey and I love whiskey. Service is fast…. Not what I usually look for in a man. The staff is quite friendly and extremely informative, basically like a tour guide of Maine.

This is one of the oldest bars in Bangor. It’s more geared toward locals and is pretty small inside, there’s very limited seating and standing room. While this bar may draw some undesirable people, it is usually patronized by down to earth and friendly and eccentric people. It does not draw the hipster, judgemental and snobby crowd that can be found at other establishments just a block away. The service is usually quick and on point. The drink prices are equal to other bars in the area. They have a small pool table, with very limited and unmaintained equipment (sticks with little or no tip, usually no chalk, chipped balls, ripped tables), a free bumper pool table, foosball, jukebox and a claw machine. There is a sky box available for rental for parties. I think if the bar was expanded to the skybox and had a dance floor they would get more larger groups.
