The first place I ever sent my food back and refused to eat it. Me and my son sat in this place for over 1 hour and we were the only ones that were there the entire time. I ordered a chicken Cesar salad, French onion soup. My son ordered chicken fingers and fries. The salad was awful. Drenched in dressing, making it inedible. Chicken was rubbery. I never tasted French onion soup like that before. Like dirty dish water, grease with some seasoning. Just terrible. The only thing that was decent were the French fries.

I got the steak and eggs. It was wonderful, the hash browns were really good! The pancakes were delicious as well. We went on a quiet weekday morning and were treated with episodes of The Office on the TV. With no commercials! Loved this place. Will return.

I used to love coming to Palmerton Diner, but it’s definitely gone downhill fast. Ever since another crew member got fired, the place just isn’t the same. The atmosphere feels tense, the service is slipping, and honestly, the whole experience is disappointing now.
On top of that, there are serious cleanliness issues — I’ve personally seen signs of rodents and it’s completely unacceptable for a place serving food. It’s disgusting and genuinely concerning.
And let’s talk about the ownership. Mario, the so-called “boss,” is an absolute disgrace. He’s fired two of the best workers this diner ever had, and it shows in the service and overall vibe. He has no clue how to treat people or run a business. Honestly, he should be on the other side of the counter working a minimum‑wage job instead of destroying what used to be a great local spot.
Do yourself a favor — skip Palmerton Diner until someone new takes over. This place isn’t what it used to be.

The staff is very friendly and attentive. The waitress must have been new, didn’t know the specials or the soups. We don’t go out a lot. Want the best bang for our buck. Read some good lunch reviews. Food was fresh and tasted good, just not the experience we were looking for. Monte Cristo good tasting, nice meats. Chicken gyro, good but needed more chicken. Prices on par with other diners. Good fries, frozen.

Tried this diner the first time today. They had a Thanksgiving special. The food was delicious! Bedt soup ever. Great turkey and stuffing and yummp homemade crandberry sauce. Then the best blueberry pie ever!! Will definitely be going back! They have a really great menu too. Realy want to try the banana pancakes!!! We had the best waiter too!!

We had the Thanksgiving dinner . There were 7 of us , and we all all the meat options. We loved the turkey, and the ham, but the roast beef could have used just a little more gravy. Our service was great and the atmosphere was awesome. It’s a great place to stop .

This place has found their groove since opening! Service is always good, food is always good, and you can be in and out fairly quickly most meals. Big fan of their homemade cream chipped beef on toast! Always order the homefries with onions and if Barb is your waitress, you will always be in good hands.

This was our first time at the diner. We went for breakfast on a weekend.
I ordered a Western omelette with cheese. My order was put in the computer as a meat lovers omelette with cheese. I did not receive the meal I ordered, but I didn’t want to waste the food, so I ate it. The home fries were very good, not greasy. My husband ordered a meal. His came with toast. When the order arrived, the waitress dropped the toast on the floor and never gave him new toast. Overall, the food was good. The coffee was tasty and rich, which is great.
Our server was not the most hygienic. She coughed several times, without covering her mouth, right over our table as she filled our coffee and delivered our food. That’s a huge turn off for me.
I’d go back for the food, but service could be better for sure.

been going here for a bit! and absolutely love it! such a clean place, the workers are very nice and attend to your needs even on a busy day. food is very tasteful and me and my family will continue coming here!

The service was excellent and fast. The staff were super friendly and answered any questions I had regarding the menu. Best place for the soup and the Southwest Burger was delicious. Will definitely be going back!!
