Absolutely wonderful food. We had the scallops and arancini to start, followed by the chateaubriand. Everything was cooked to perfection. The service was warm, friendly, and prompt. The pacing of the meal was perfect. Can’t wait to come back!

Amazing food! Lovely venue. We booked for 6:30 and we were only ones there for half hour, but at 7 things picked up and it became busy. Lovely food throughout, we enjoyed everything we had. Worth the money. I think most of beers were from bottle though, but local beers provided, so not bothered!

Lovely restaurant with nice modern decor. Service was fantastic, very friendly and attentive. The mozzarella starter was ok, nothing special. But the pork belly main course was unbelievable. Succulent pork full of flavour with a lovely well seasoned fennel bulb. Shame it was a quiet lunch service as it lacked a bit of atmosphere. Highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys a high class restaurant with great food.

One of the best restaurants I have been to. Opted for set menu for 2 people, loved each and every dish. Wonderfully presented and tasted even better. Surprisingly we were the only ones in the restaurant when we walked in on a Thursday afternoon. Highly recommended in Chelmsford. Cheers.

We had the pleasure of celebrating our Christmas party at this wonderful independent restaurant and we couldn’t be more impressed!
The staff were absolutely fantastic—efficient, attentive, and genuinely caring. They made sure all our dietary needs were catered for without a hitch, which was greatly appreciated by everyone in the group.
As for the food—simply amazing! Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor.
A huge thank you to the team for making our evening so special. This place is a gem, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone looking for great food and exceptional service.

It’s about 2 weeks ago myself and my wife and sister went here.
I have to say the food was good but it was lacking in atmosphere.
And this is obviously me showing my age even though I have had kids myself and it wasn’t the restaurants fault.
But it was the usual kids watching stuff on screens which I have no problem with. But I don’t understand why parents can’t give them headphones so everyone else doesn’t have to join in on their viewing experience.
I always say please and thank you to anyone that says me at a table but apparently this wasn’t enough for the lady as she just clearly seemed to have taken a dislike to me for whatever reason.
So obviously make your own choice but personally I probably wouldn’t go back.

I’ve been wanting to visit this restaurant for a little while having seen that it recently been modernised. So as we were meeting friends on Saturday this seemed like an ideal opportunity as Chelmsford is in between where we all live. Set on the outskirts of the town and just a 15 minute stroll from the station in a peaceful part of the town. As we entered we could here a lot of noise the reason being they do a Bottomless Prosecco Lunch deal on a Saturday. I can honestly say that if there was just the two of us I would have apologised but left straight away. But there was four of us so in we went and as it happened by the time we got to our mains the majority had left. Now on to the lunch itself where the food was good as was the service. We started with the white crab meat , the roasted pigeon & the smoked mackerel with a Crispy Hens Egg which were very nicely cooked and presented although the crab meat starter did seem quite small We then moved onto our mains the Maple Pork Loin , the pan fried Chalkstream Trout while two of us had the Roast Lamb Rump together with sides of Truffle Fat Chips & vegetables. All dishes were very good and again nicely cooked and presented Before dessert we decided to share a cheese course which consisted of 8 cheeses from around Britain & Ireland together with crackers , grapes & chutney Now it time to finish with desserts they had a choice of 5 so we decided to order them all a milk chocolate iced parfait , clotted cream pannacotta , the hot ginger cake , lemon drizzle cake & the chocolate fondant which did have a slight issue as it came with a basil sorbet that was quite strong. We informed the waiter who said it was something new that the chef was trying therefore thanked us for our feedback This brought to an end a very nice lunch to which we all enjoyed. If I was to return and as their open all day on Saturday it would be in the afternoon or an evening. But if your a group and a Prosecco Lunch is for you then this a nice restaurant for that as the food and service is good
