Waitress Elizabeth was incredibly friendly and gave Great service. Food was hot and well prepared. You won’t leave hungry and they keep bringing you surprises…things to try. Amazingly gracious and giving. Definitely a selfless owner as he kept bringing us food to try. They are very flexible with their menu and your needs. It reminds me of a no frills but cool place in Maine we used to go to. It’s not fancy but the atmosphere is super fun.

This is a place with (quirky) character. In fact, I’d be hard-pressed to think of a place with more character. For some people, that’s going to be a turn off; for others, this place will feel like home.
The service was good, although it tends to come with some surprises. The food (heavy focus on seafood, though one member of our party had a grilled chicken breast that looked delicious) was excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed everything on my plate (and really liked a few of the things that were not, too). Don’t come here looking for a fancy restaurant, but do check it out to experience the backyard-charm and the very good food!

I loved everything about this quirky place! It’s literally like going to dinner at your best friend’s place. Al is an incredible host with great stories and hospitality. The seafood is delicious and you grab your own drinks from behind the bar. So fun.

Went to Moorings tonight for dinner. This is not your regular dinner experience, this is Al and Moorings, you won’t find that anywhere else around but here in the Cape.The food is great and the athmosphere is awesome. Al tells you to go behind the bar and get your drink. He’s a very nice and friendly guy who runs this great place for decades already. It’s always a great experience to dine at Moorings. We will be back soon…!

AL made this experience one to remember! Great food, excellent service! He made us feel like family. I read in a previous comment about trump flags SO THE HELL WHAT! That did not make the food any less tasty or his interaction with us less entertaining and welcoming. I definitely recommend the #6 the appetizers are delicious. His IRISH CANOLI will have you in love. I can say anytime I am here in Cape Coral I will be making a stop for sure ❤️ Thank you AL for a great evening of laughter, history, and fun.

Phenomenal experience. If you are looking for a local hit then this is it. I stumbled upon The New England Moorings by mistake when a neighboring seafood joint was too busy and I’m so glad I did.
Al, the owner, was full of originality and stories. He catered a very personal experience along with some extra food and beverage goodies to boot. This man is a hoot and made my visit one for the memory bank.
The seared scallops, shrimp, calamari, crab cakes, and ahi tuna were hands down incredible.
This will be a regular trip for me when in the area.

I advise you this place for a very good moment around tasty food. Al is at your service and doing his outmost to please you. He has opened his restaurant in 1987 and we can tell he loves his job. The food is really good value for money, fresh and diversified. It’s a kid-friendly place too with a small dedicated area where you can find toys. We’re on a road trip, coming from France, we arrived late and thus were the only clients and he sat at our table between dishes preparation and we shared good laugh. I truly recommend!

I drove by this hidden gem it was such a lovely place after looking at a rental near by and as soon as I walked in I was greeted like I was family ❤️ I was fed very generously and oh man was the seafood fresh like the ocean, the dessert was amazing but the host Al and conversation was PRICELESS!!

The ambiance was completely different…the entire restaurant had beautiful pictures all over the walls. The personnel including the owner of 31 years were very friendly. Each meal is made fresh so you can’t be in a rush and the time seems to go fast while you’re waiting. The entire experience was incredible and I would recommend to anyone and well return without a doubt. Give it a try!
