Dinner was phenomenal, ordered a little bit of everything and loved every single dish. Very unique flavors. Service was fantastic. Tori (I hope I’m spelling that correctly) was so sweet and down to earth and the vibe of the restaurant was cozy and felt like home in a way. 10/10. Will be back. Support local.

Each dish we had was absolutely delicious! The cucumber carpaccio, empanadas, fresh oysters, shabu shabu beef dip, and couscous were cooked to perfection with subtle, nuanced flavors that are paired well tapas style. The handmaid ceramic cups, and dishes and displayed artwork added to the comfy ambience. We would definitely go back again.

This was an incredible experience. Neon Sun balances incredible food with a comfortable, chill, classy experience. Everything was off-the-chart delicious and thoughtfully-presented. Couscous and beef poke were standout highlights. It’s BYOB which is actually great, as you can pair the food with a wine of your choice. Can’t wait to go back and try more of their eclectic menu.

This place is absolutely exceptional and underrated. Tapas style restaurant highly recommend. My first time here and I will definitely come back. Atmosphere, service and food .. amazing. The presentation of the food matched the quality and exceeded our expectations. Didn’t take pictures of all the food we had. I definitely recommend the fried plantain dessert I don’t know how they did it but they made it taste like a donut and we loved it. Best plantain I’ve ever had and exceeded our expectations. We also had rose, lavender tea, Charcuterie board, asparagus salad. Definitely give this hidden gem a try.

Met some old friends to try and new spot in town. The food was visually stunning and delicious, served in an an eclectic atmosphere that made you feel like home (but secretly better). Scallops (pictured), chefs kiss. Beef dip sando, lip smacking good. Matcha sunrise (sunset???, pictured), must try. Also pictured is the cucumber carpaccio, two thumbs up. Definitely worth the first time visit and dozens of return trips!

Such a great food spot in San Pedro. Walking in feels like hanging out at a friend’s place, warm, relaxed, and effortlessly stylish. The food is fresh, healthy, and packed with unique flavor, and the eclectic décor gives it real personality. Amazing service too. Definitely coming back!

Neon Sun isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an experience, infused with personality, passion, and a deep love for food. From the moment you walk in, the quirky decor and warm welcome let you know that there’s a story behind every detail. This is a place meant for sharing, so gather at least four friends and prepare for a culinary adventure filled with creative, farm-to-table delights.

The menu is a rotating showcase of seasonal ingredients and unexpected flavor pairings. We started with the asparagus salad, where sweet persimmon played beautifully against the crisp, garden-fresh greens. Then came the Barbecue New Orleans-style oysters—bold, smoky, and packed with flavor, with herbs plucked straight from the hydroponic planters adorning the space.

But the showstopper? The peanut butter and jelly dessert. Our menu listed “Elevated PB & J,” but since the season had changed, we were treated to a PB&J ice cream sandwich instead. The portion—two decadent sandwiches—was enough for four people, but that didn’t stop the two of us from diving in. Every bite was pure nostalgia, reimagined in the most indulgent way.

We left vowing to return with a bigger group to explore even more of the menu. And if you visit, don’t miss the chance to ask Tori about Neon Sun’s story—it’s as rich as the food itself. For an extra special treat, see if Chef Alex can step out of the kitchen for a chat. His passion is evident in every plate, and meeting him only deepens the appreciation for this gem of a restaurant.

What a lovely, hidden little spot in San Pedro! My friend and I were visiting CA from BC, Canada, and happened upon The Neon Sun as we were making our way to the bank. It looked interesting – artsy! Comfortable! Warm colours! Plants! So we hopped in for a snack. The cauliflower tacos were delicious! Plus, it felt like we were hanging out in someone’s living room, so cozy. Local art and pottery everywhere! Thank you Chef Alex for sharing your food art with us (and for running to the grocery store for more tortillas so we could enjoy them ).

How often have you been to a restaurant that is trying to do something truly unique? This restaurant is an eclectic tapas bar of sorts — but tapas without limits. Everything is good and cheap. It is a small place and although the turnover may not be particularly high, the oysters, for instance, are always impeccably fresh and excellently sourced. A most interesting place that I can highly recommend.
