As our subcontinental food journey continues, @the_nawabi_taste in Williamstown absolutely delivered.
We started strong with #chickentikka and five generous pieces, beautifully spiced, tender, and served with that cooling mint sauce that somehow makes you go back for just one more bite… every time.
Mains were a lamb curry rich with depth and warmth (the kind that lingers in the best way), saffron rice, fresh raita and soft, buttery naan that did exactly what naan should do – scoop, mop, and disappear.
Drinks? A reliable glass of #pepperjack red (it rarely lets me down) and a strawberry margarita for a little sweet-and-spicy balance. No regrets.
And then… gulab jamun. Oh my. Those little golden dough balls, fried and soaked in sticky sugar syrup. Sweet, soft, indulgent. The perfect full stop to the evening.
Bonus points for what might be the best restaurant playlist I’ve heard in a long time — I was toe-tapping between bites.

The Nawabi Taste was absolutely delicious – best tandoori chicken I’ve ever eaten. The vindaloo was spectacular, and the garlic naan was dangerously moreish. Highly recommend.

I had the butter chicken and it was like a soup and didn’t taste restaurant quality there was also a strong unpleasant odour in the store I felt like I was in an uber. I also overheard an older Indian woman working and speaking about how she doesn’t like people of a white skin tone in her store and she seemed quite upset about it. The service was really dull and kinda depressing and food tasting like something I made in the microwave

We really enjoyed our dinner here — absolutely loved the food! Everything was full of flavour and beautifully presented. The restaurant was quite busy when we visited, but our food still arrived on time and the service was polite and professional.

Tried Nawabi Taste and loved it!
Paneer pakora and chicken tandoori were a great start. The paneer and lamb curries were rich and tasty, and the cheese naan + kheema naan were spot on. Mango lassi was refreshing, and the mango kulfi was the perfect sweet ending.

Butter Chicken to die for! The food and friendliness is top shelf. I will be definitely coming back for more. Servings were generous, we struggled to eat it all!

I was impressed by the delivery service and thoroughly enjoyed garlic naan, malai kofta and pani puri I ordered. Malai kofta was exceptional, the best I have ever had. Pani puri was also fantastic. I can say I have found my go to place for malai kofta.
