It’s pretty small and dark in here but it’s got a good vibe and a lively crowd.
Service here is great – I asked about trying a few aoilis and the kitchen staff sent out a sampler platter with fries for dipping. Truly an above and beyond experience.
If you want a res – be diligent and set an alarm. They drop right at 10am 7 days in advance.
Quick update: The summer 2023 menu is even better!!!
The prawns are one of the tastiest things that i ever eat in my life.
The place is really small and really crowded.
It is really difficult to make a reservation, but believe me, there is a reason why the food is just unbelievably amazing. If you are lucky enough to get a table, believe me worth the waiting and every penny that you will spend there.
Menu is big for the size of the place, many Asian cuisine choices (no sushi), and many vegetarian and meat options.
Drinks are great !
The food arrived when it was ready so be prepared that there is no first or second . Staff will inform you about this before you order.
Prices are normal for the Nantucket lifestyle.
I’m highly recommending that place!
The noise level was unbearable. They’ve somehow managed to install six or more speakers blasting music into a dining room that’s maybe 500 square feet. It’s so loud you can’t hear the person sitting across from you without practically shouting. Combine that with the tight quarters and you start to wonder if the goal is to get you out as fast as possible-it is the server joked that’s why they didn’t offer dessert.
Food? Just okay. A couple dishes were decent, but nothing you’ll remember tomorrow. The pricing, though, is unforgettable — small “shareable” plates at fine-dining prices, which don’t stretch far enough for a group. For what Nautilus charges, you could eat far better (and in peace) at Lola 41, CRU, or Galley — all of which actually deliver on experience, atmosphere, and flavor.
To top it off, Nautilus sneaks in a 4% “kitchen fee” buried in the fine print of the menu. No mention from the server, no heads-up on the bill. Just a quiet little surcharge for a noisy little room.
Bottom line: between the cramped seating, deafening noise, average food, and hidden fees, Nautilus isn’t worth your time or your money. Nantucket has too many genuinely great restaurants to waste an evening here.
