I only ate here once and made my decision to never eat there again. The store itself is very nice, however; I was extremely disappointed in the food I was served. The cook seems to not care at all. I was first impressed with the short menu because that usually means there is a limited number of high quality meals that are produced. This was definitely not the case. Also, there were no ingredients stated. What if someone has an allergy? As I waited it seemed like there was absolutely no communication among the 2 people working there. It was completely empty but there were a few carryout orders that were completed before mine. I ordered a smoked trout salad which sounded delicious. Upon receiving my meal the trout was ice cold which I wasn’t expecting and the portion size couldn’t have been over 3-4 ounces. There were microgreens that were so long with the stems it made it difficult to eat. The cucumbers were inedible. It looked like they had been presliced days ago. Nothing about this salad was fresh and that was the main reason I had tried this restaurant in the first place. It had to taken all of 2 minutes to put this together. The cook clearly has given up quality & elected to cut corners by serving the bare minimum. No points for flare. After I did eat some of my lunch I went somewhere else to get something to eat to make it through work. Very sad.

Had a fantastic fresh & tasty meal catered at the catholic ecology center. My favorite was the rye revival bread with the sweet honey? butter. Would like more info on it please.

Finding healthy options in a small town is hard. I came in and asked if they could make something vegan. The hummus sandwich with fresh veggies and herbs was delicious! Thank you for accommodating my dietary preferences! This could be a happy accident to a new menu item.

Yum the food here is always great. Hey it’s made fresh right before your eyes if you sit at the counter. The owners are very friendly and helpful. I’ve seen it featured several times on public television. Another place to save room for dessert. Although you might be happy to walk away after just having a bowl of they’re soup and salad.

The staff was not very friendly, almost arrogant. Four of us walked in and looked at the menu posted and the person, possibly the owner, behind the counter didn’t greet us, so finally we asked how things worked. We took a seat and were told to fill out the order sheet on the table. Two of us had sour dough pancakes with bacon and two of us had tomato soup. The pancakes were good and the bacon was very good. The tomato soup was good, but we were charged $1 for the bread that was offered to go with it. Usually crackers or bread just come with a $6 bowl of soup. We were charged 50 cents for a glass of water that was ordered. It came in a small carafe and apparently that justified the charge. Otherwise, there is a cooler of a variety of things to drink. My husband ordered coffee, which was very good. It was a pour over type but was a bit pricey at $3. Seems like the service should be a lot more friendly for the prices charged.
