First timer! 2 out of 3 anyway. A mere suggestion about its location on the river with a water view was enough to go try them out. Menu was burgers, fish, fresh steamed clams, pizza, salad and appetizers. No alcohol. Outside seating was with sturdy expanded metal type tables and chairs, on a wood deck in good condition. No umbrellas. That was ok. Inside was warm, a little too much for us and it was a beautiful day with some rain in the forecast, which did arrive just as we were leaving
Service was good, friendly server, knew the menu well based on a few questions we asked.
Food arrived timely and hot. Check ups were timely and adequate. Food was very good. Burger was fresh beef. Pizza was a good crust, well cooked on top and copious amounts of toppings for what was ordered. Prices were fair and as expected. Fun place to go relax, get a good meal and watch cars and the rapids on the river.

A friend and I were visiting friends in the area last night, and this spot came highly recommended! We got a friendly greeting when we arrived, and had great service from start to finish of our visit. Delicious poutine made with perfectly crispy fries and local (!) cheese curds, and an excellent and creatively topped burger cooked to a flawless medium rare.

There was no way we had room for dessert, but we couldn’t resist getting a couple of slices of homemade rhubarb pie to go. Can’t wait for our next visit to the area so we can stop in here again. Life is good!

Nice spot right on the Oswegatchie River. The breakfast bowls and prime rib hash were both great. Friendly service too!

We have been here multple times and usually the service and the food makes this place a great stop for us while passing through. However this stop this week was not so great. My wife’s pizza was very dough-y and my fries were very over-cooked. Waitress had virtually nobody to wait on but was not keeping tabs on us….ie. drink refills and getting our check/instructions to pay at counter kept us waiting often. TV was blasting as well as music making it off putting. And the thin lemon wedge requested for my wife’s water was served to her in the waitress’ hand…odd.

My family and I just had breakfast here this morning and I cannot express how fantastic everything was. Our breakfast was amazing with the best homefries ever! Our waitress was very friendly and our view of the river was amazing! My advice is to come hungry because the portions are big but you will not be disappointed! We will definitely be eating here again.

A beautiful gem in a seemingly drive-thru town whose rating is merited, not by being average, but by the discrepancy between characteristics. The portions for the egg dishes were not large, as other reviews state, but seem on par with others for the price. Their pancakes we saw others order were huge! The food was delicious, not a typical greasy spoon diner. The service was not good. There were a variety of standard table items, like ketchup and jelly, that were not on the tables; you had to ask for them. Never once did the waitress offer to refill my coffee, despite business being slow and me turning my coffee mug handle out to signal it was empty. They got my order wrong, but fixed it quickly. I was able to write this novel of a review because of how long it took for them to pick up my card and tab. All in all, cute and delicious. Just make sure you ask for everything you want at the beginning of your visit.

We were driving down state route 3, looking for a place to eat. The kids found the Mystic River Cafe, they saw it and it had a 3 star review. I told them not to worry about the review. Thank god we stop, food and service was great. Took our order fast, now back on the road. 5 star review

We went in early July and they were out of lots of product but the service was good, good enough to go back. We went again August 22nd, they had everything in stock. The food was fantastic. My 14 year old son ordered the salad and he could not eat it all and I have seen him devour 2 Big Mac’s and a large fry in one sitting!! Our server took great care of us and turned out to be the owner, hard at work making sure the customers were taken care of!
