I went here with a friend to kill time while waiting for a concert at the San Manuel amphitheater, any of the people who gave it a great review clearly don’t get out of San Bernardino very often. The atmosphere was somewhere between scary and dirty. Right when you walk in there is a cage on your right with tables inside then there is another 2 dining rooms that felt less like I was going to prison. We started off our meal with the garlic cheese bread, which was surprisingly good, so we had high hopes for the pepperoni pizza we ordered. The pizza tasted like peppercorn and oregano, and that was about it and if there was sauce on it we certainly couldn’t see it.
The “service” was basically nonexistent. Our waitress came up asked us what we wanted to drink and instantly walked away only to come back about 10 minutes later to tell us they were out of Bacardi, I don’t know how that happens, but it did. When we ordered food she I’ve again just walked away. I could understand if it were busy and they were overwhelmed, but there was only is and two other parties in the whole place. The only reason I give it two stars is that we liked the garlic cheese bread, but there is no way I’d ever go to this place again

The best Italian food in San Bernardino! Great food, great drinks, and the best pizza you’re going to find anywhere! I’ve been going to The Mug since I was a little kid and, forty years later, it’s still just as good as ever. Family friendly, great for large groups and small.

My parents took us to The Mug on a regular basis from the early 1970’s on….loved the way they slice the pizza, and the atmosphere made an impression that stays with me even today. I can still see all the autographed photos adorning the walls….racing pics….old Ascot Park type stuff. I’m saddened that this vestige of my youth —- which by the time I came around had already been in business 25 years! — is gone now.

Pizza is way too salty the mushrooms were uncooked yuck! Unnessary oregno on pizza the water had an aweful garden hose taste. My wife’s chicken was not fully cooked, Worst experience ever, consider yourself warned. I will never go back.
