Nice and fast. Very yummy spicy goat saag I ordered. The best so far. My son likes their kind of garlic bread. These saag is so good though I like the paneer. I need to try more of these indo-chinese cuisine. Thank you.

I recently ordered takeout from Monks, which operates as a cloud kitchen and it turned out to be an excellent experience. The front desk person suggested their Gully Chicken and it was absolutely outstanding, flavorful, juicy, and perfectly cooked. I also ordered Chicken Biryani, Chicken Tikka and Mango Lassi and every item tasted amazing. The biryani had great aroma and spice balance, the chicken tikka was tender and well-marinated and the mango lassi was refreshing and delicious.

Even though it was a to-go order, the packing was neat, the portions were generous and everything stayed fresh and hot. Overall, truly impressed with the quality of food and service. Definitely recommending Monks to anyone looking for great taste and reliable takeaway!

Ordered 6 count of vijayawada biryani. Each biryani quantity is very low like 4 pieces of small chicken and very small quantity of rice in each biryani. This is not the usual size of biryani that would cost 15$ each. Ordered from uber as it has buy 1 get one 1 offer.

Would never order again. There is no mirchi ka salan gravy provided. For 6 biryanis . Only 3 small quantity of raita provided.

Total disappointment. In uber it costed each biryani as 15$ and they gave buy 1 get one offer .

I have not see this much low quantity of biryani costing 15$ in any Indian restaurant

Never recommend . Attached the pic of the quality of chicken and biryani . Please don’t cheat customer with the offers.

Even combining all 6 count of chicken biryani, does not even equal to one normal quantity of chicken biryani . Each biryani cost 15$ . Total waste of money . I would have given a zero star rating. Please don’t play with customers.

I honestly used to really like this place. We would get delivery from them fairly consistently. I would still recommend their spicy masala fried rice from their other locations.

I’m not sure if it is staff changeover or location leadership, but food has been wildly inconsistent. On my last order, I received the wok tossed friend rice instead of spicy masala I ordered, which wouldn’t be too bad on it’s own, but it was the missing chicken I order too (you pay extra for meat). Clearly we got someone else’s order. My partner got his Tikka masala, but it was very citrusy. Tasted nothing like it should. Very disappointed.

We ordered 2 Vijayawada biryanis through Uber Eats, which had a Buy 1 Get 1 Free offer. But what we received was extremely disappointing.

Each biryani came with only 4 tiny pieces of chicken and a very small portion of rice – definitely not what you’d expect from a biryani regular. The size was closer to a mini-meal, not a full biryani.

It feels like the portion size was cut drastically just because of the BOGO offer. That’s misleading. If the restaurant can’t provide a standard portion at the discounted price, it should clearly mention that. Otherwise, it’s just tricking customers into thinking they’re getting a deal.

We’ve had better experiences before, so this was a real letdown. Honestly, we would have preferred paying for a regular biryani if we knew the BOGO one would be this small.

Please don’t misuse offers to reduce quality and quantity. This kind of approach damages trust, and we won’t be ordering again.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The food was extremely bad — I’ve never tasted anything like it before. We ordered the Gully Chicken starter, which was overly salty. The Potlam Biryani Family Pack had no salt at all, and the Sichuan Fried Rice was filled with too much food coloring. The only item we liked was the soup.
When I mentioned the issues to the staff, the service boy simply said, “Bro, this is what it looks like,” and mentioned that the chef was new — which is not an acceptable excuse for such poor quality food.
We even drove nearly 20 miles to try this place because the menu looked different from the branch near us. Unfortunately, the other branch is much better, and this one was a huge disappointment.
I definitely wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone.

@owner

I’m extremely disappointed with the food and service at this restaurant. @Owner, you really need to pay attention to what’s being served to your customers. The food quality was unacceptable.
We ordered the Gully Chicken starter, which was unbearably salty, and the Potlam Biryani Family Pack, which had no salt at all. The Sichuan Fried Rice was full of artificial food coloring. The only decent item we had was the soup.
When I raised these issues with the staff, the response was shocking — “Bro, this is what it looks like,” followed by an excuse that the chef is new. That’s not how you treat customers who travel nearly 20 miles to try your restaurant.
@Owner, please take this as serious feedback. If you continue serving food like this, you’ll lose loyal customers very quickly. The branch near me serves much better food, so there’s clearly a big inconsistency in quality.
You really need to step in and fix this before more people have the same bad experience.

I ordered the Butter Masala Chicken from Monk’s Heights and it was really good. The gravy was creamy, flavorful, and paired perfectly with naan. Portion size could be a little bigger, but overall the taste and quality were worth it. Would definitely order again!

Indian takeout from The Monk’s is my favorite to-go food. My order is always ready on time, well packed, accurate and delicious. Their naan is my favorite because it’s it’s thin. So far there’s not a lot of Indian food to be found in the Heights area but this is by far the best among the other only two places I know of in the area. Also comparable to my favorite place out on Hillcroft & 59.

Meat in my goat biryani was severely undercooked to a point where it was just inedible.
This was my first time ordering from monks while i always have food at the restaurant and monks food never missed as far as i knew. Then i realized that this is a different monks not the one in pearland or even westheimer.

– Undercooked goat meat
– mirchi ka salan smelled like it was months ago
– so much food color in my biryani. My hand looks like i put mehendi

Please refrain from ordering here. I haven’t had such worst food back in India too.

Food
1. Chilly Garlic Noodles
3.5/5 – It was decent because the noodles were slightly wet.
2. Paneer Manchurian Gravy
4/5 – Best when eaten with white rice. Extremely good.
3. Tandoori Paneer Momos
4/5 – Gooood. Momos won’t disappoint.
