Beautifully decorated tearoom with lots of options. We tried the churro cold brew and hibiscus iced specialty tea. Both were great. The Tulum Sandwich was hearty and a good combination of tastes. My husband enjoyed the French toast. Great place to celebrate special events. Also, the bathroom has a lot of fun details; including a gold toilet.

Went here for our anniversary brunch and had such a great experience! The owner Shahan was incredibly friendly, sweet, and hospitable. We felt so welcomed. Had great food, amazzingggg coffee, and great conversation! The blueberry cold brew was phenomenal! Their specialty food item was the Joburg Jam croissant and it was really yummy, they get the jam directly from South Africa! Not to mention they had halal chicken which was great for us. The owner bought a piece of England with him, with the decor. An amazing experience from the excellent service, delicious food, to the lovely, whimsical aesthetic. Definitely recommend and would be back if we’re in St. Augustine again!

The highlight of our stay in St. Augustine. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was amazing and the owners were so friendly! We were blown away with the beautiful decor. We were there in February so the restaurant was decked out for Valentine’s Day! Truly a memorable experience.

This tea house was stellar! We had the high tea, the selection was made up of an eclectic combination of ingredients that culminated in a fantastic experience. The drinks were also amazing. The service was excellent & the rooms were tastefully decorated.
This location would be perfect for birthdays, baby showers, and bridal showers. You can sense when people truly love what they do —and this is a testament to just that.

I was blown away by the quality here. The tea was aromatic and perfectly steeped, the croissants were golden and crisp on the outside with a soft, buttery inside, and the desserts were beautifully presented and tasted even better. The flatbread was fresh, warm, and packed with flavor. You can tell they really care about what they serve. Highly recommend for anyone who loves great tea and pastries!

The Modern Rose was the perfect, quaint, personal experience we were wanting on our first meal out as Mr and Mrs. The amazing food was a huge bonus. From the beautiful Christmas decor, the personalized different coffee mugs and genuinely kind owners and staff, this experience deserves a 5 star rating across the board.
They even played “Going to the Chapel” and brought us a delicious piece of cheesecake on a plate with the recipe for love printed on it, so..of course we had to finish it to read!!! Simple but special extras you just do not get anywhere else is what makes it.
I highly recommend The Modern Rose if you are looking for a deliciously prepared, uniquely served, and sincerely kind staffed meal while in St. Augustine.

Service was amazing! Very attentive staff. The food was wonderful. We had the McGriddle platter…the French toast was perfection. Eggs and bacon too!
We had an espresso drinks mocha/cinnamon latte and a caramel latte. They were huge!
It was our anniversary and we had a piece of heaven in a biscoff cheesecake.
The dining area is so pretty and there is so much to look at and talk about. It made us feel special! We will definitely return! It was a definite treat!

What a wonderful time my friends and I had enjoying lunch at The Modern Rose, a beautiful tea room. Two of us had the Creamy London lavender tea, lavender with vanilla and sweet almond foam. One friend had the caramel macchiato coffee. For lunch, two of us had the Marcia Flatbread with roasted turkey, melted brie, pesto, and roasted red peppers. One had their take on PB&J, a grilled Brioche with creamy peanut butter and bonne maman preserves, topped with fresh strawberries, blueberries, and powdered sugar. The food was delightful, the atmosphere and decor was charming. Eugene, our waiter, was engaging and attentive, he certainly elevated our experience. We met the owner, Melanie. She was so pleasant and congenial. We can’t wait to go back and next time have High Tea.

The most amazing brunch highly recommend this place probably the coolest place I’ve seen straight out of a Victorian novel. The front of the house is like a sugar shop with fun decor. The back of the house is Victorian and artsy very eclectic personal touches one of the best brunch menus I’ve ever had in my life atmosphere service food. Everything is amazing. Took my favorite first date here.

The Modern Rose in St. Augustine is not just a place with great food. It’s a whole experience. The place is gorgeous from the outside and everything inside. The decor is just beautiful and so unique. Every detail is well thought out. Each mug is different and so cute. The food is amazing. It’s plated beautifully and tastes just as good. Everything tastes fresh and full of flavor. We waited almost 2 hours to eat here and it was absolutely worth. The portions are great so you won’t be leaving hungry. Would go here every single time I’m in St. Augustine. The owner and staff couldn’t be any sweeter or more attentive.
