This was my second visit to this location and I loved it just as much. The staff is friendly, and since we arrived around 9:30 on a Sunday, there was no wait—though it was starting to fill up by the time we left. There’s a great variety of pancake options along with plenty of savory choices. They were very accommodating of my vegetarian diet and happily replaced the eggs with avocado. My customized rancheros verde was delicious, and the mocha chip pancake was sooo good. I also tried a bite of the lemon curd pancake and it was amazing. My friend ordered the Portuguese linguica and absolutely loved it. Such a cute, family-style spot tucked around the corner—would definitely recommend!

This is a cute and charming little place with decent food. The women working here are incredibly kind, friendly, and provide excellent service. They are a real highlight!
However, the service was inconsistent. There was a male waiter who was impolite and unfriendly, which was disappointing. Management should ensure all staff members meet the high standard set by the rest of the te

The best part of waking up is Mission on your plate. Corny? Maybe. But it’s exactly how I felt after starting my morning at Mission. With both indoor and outdoor seating, the wait was short—even for a weekend breakfast spot. You seat yourself, and within seconds, a friendly staff member was at our table. One woman seemed to be running the whole floor like a pro, with quick help from a man bringing dishes and drinks out. It was impressive to watch.

Now, the food—wow!!! It came out fast, hot, and fresh. I had the House-Made Cinnamon French Toast with eggs and bacon. Every bite was perfectly fluffy and flavorful—I honestly didn’t want to stop eating, even when I was full. My co-worker had the Baked Banana Caramel French Toast, which was just as delicious (I stole a bite, of course).

The portions are generous, and the prices are almost too good to be true for the quality and quantity.

If you’re looking for a cozy spot with killer breakfast, don’t sleep on this place. Just wake up and go.

Game day and crowded beyond control. We got in the wait list and were given a time, walked back in and were promptly seated at the time they mentioned they will have our table ready. Food was a bit delayed but the waiter took time to tell us the expected time of food and did bot miss the mark. Warm and welcoming, with amazing food line up that will entice a 11 year old.

Had an amazing experience in The Mission. Food is filling and prices for each dish fall around $20. The house coffee is a popular drink.

The food was really good and fresh. Great place to get breakfast. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It’s like they were real people. Lol I highly recommend the place. Parking was absolutely horrible like most of San Diego, which is not their fault.

The food here was phenomenal – so tasty and so flavourful!

The staff was on point and our server was great. The one knock was that i got up to use the restroom and a guy working there said its outside. It was locked and i thought someone was using it. Later i saw another woman got a key. I mean, he could have been like it’s outside and you need a key.

Inside was fun and nice vibe. I’m glad we didn’t sit outside. The surrounding area is a little sketchy and there was a homeless man harassing the outside patrons. And like a lot of downtown San Diego, it smelled a lot like human waste.

Out of all the places we’ve tried on our trip, 10+, this was the most mediocre. It was fine, but nothing was great and the prices were much higher than other breakfasts we had that ended up being much better. I got the banana caramel French toast and my husband got the pancakes. The French toast was good but way too sweet after the first couple of bites to enjoy and it was cooked and served in a cast iron skillet so it was very well stuck to the skillet and difficult to eat. I gave up about half way through and called it. The pancakes were good and fluffy, the side of bacon only came with 2 slices which was disappointing for $5 with 2 eggs.

The make their own gluten free rosemary and cinnamon bread and it’s INCREDIBLE!! I had one bite of the gluten free French toast and bought a loaf to bring home. If you’re gluten free this really is one of the best brunches you’ll have.
