Dead ass, that’s a straight-up Louisiana soul plate, no cap. You got them red beans and rice hittin’ different—creamy, smoky, seasoned like somebody’s grandma was in the kitchen with that holy trinity. Then they throw on that blackened catfish, crispy on the edges, juicy on the inside, seasoned to slap your taste buds awake. And don’t sleep on that crawfish mac—cheesy, buttery, loaded with lil’ crawfish tails like it’s Mardi Gras in your mouth. That plate? Bussin’. Ain’t leavin’ nothin’ but vibes and an empty plate, fr fr. And to top it off, Tim behind the bar is killing it—drinks going down so smooth you’re ordering another before you even realize it. Vibes are undefeated, for real.

Heidi and Tim the bartenders are absolutely amazing!! Atmosphere at this place is unreal. If you’re in Alexandria and looking for a place to go and turn back the clocks the mid-1900s this is your spot.

The place normally stays open until 12, but tonight they closed at 10:45pm because they only had 3 people in the bar. We had an entire wedding party coming and they knew it and still closed an hour and 15 minutes early. This whole town is terrible, nothing open, the hotel sucks, extremely outdated, toilets don’t flush, just terrible. I will never stay here again.

I’m very disappointed with The Mirror Room. One of your employees, Livy, made racist remarks, and I have proof of it. This behavior is unacceptable and reflects very poorly on your establishment. I hope management takes this seriously and addresses it immediately. Until then, I cannot recommend this place.

Nice bar in a cool small La town. Avocado Salad is excellent. Blackened blackfish and crawfish Etouffe outstanding. Service is a tad slow but not glacial. If I was starving I might be annoyed tho. A/C is on high so bring a light coat. Prices are fair food is fresh.
