Recently under new ownership, everything has been updated very nicely. The people are great, very friendly atmosphere. Great food like Tuesday .50¢ wings witch was delicious! Also a very nice back closed in outdoor patio. I highly recommend everyone visiting the crew at the mine for a drink and a great social atmosphere!

This is the first negative review I’ve ever written. My boyfriend and I were so disappointed with the “buffet” this morning. All the food was cold and stale. I grabbed 1 cinnamon roll and 1 biscuit. The cinnamon roll was actually inedible and I needed the “waitress” to microwave my biscuit. I was charged $12 for ONE biscuit! Good buffets are $12 with good, heated food. A bar with some cold, less than mcdonald’s level breakfast, should not be charging such a ridiculous price for this. Please, for your own sake, do NOT go here for breakfast.

I can’t believe that I’ve only been in this place twice. In my hometown and I found out that this is the oldest running tavern in the United States. It’s been open since 1842 and has never closed down. It’s amazing it still has the tin ceiling, a little dark but I guess that’s so everybody looks good at closing time. I give it 4 tens

Ten of us stopped for dinner. Staff was very friendly and patient. Food was amazing and the beer was ice cold. If we didn’t live four hours away we would be regulars for sure.
