After dropping our pet off at the Merton Veterinary Clinic for a few hours, we Googled for good eats in the area. This place had great reviews so we decided to give it a try. The food was delicious (deep fried cauliflower in sauce with a dipping sauce was excellent, as was the cajun salmon February 2026 special). Finding Woodford Reserve Double Double Oaked bourbon was a big plus! The young lady working the bar (we sat in that area enjoying the charming ambience with the tin ceiling and long bar) was attentive, informative, and just so easy-going on our Thursday afternoon (2-3 P.M.). She was great with those eating and drinking at the bar as well as young elementary and middle school kids that came in. We felt the small town good vibes and were really surprised to learn that the place was open just a year and is owned the the Stillery restaurant people (Angel something hospitality group) from Richfield- and Grafton, Wisconsin. The menu was similar but different enough to make The Millstone a destination all it’s own. It wasn’t as packed as Richfield gets and we loved the calming decor without all the TVs like Grafton has. We’ll be back for the food, great service, and comforting atmosphere again!

had a wonderful experience at The Millstone! From the moment we walked in, everything was exceptional. The restaurant was spotless and had a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
Our waitress, Margo, was absolutely fantastic. She was friendly, attentive, and made some great suggestions that we ended up loving. It’s clear she knows the menu well and genuinely cares about her guests having a great experience.
The food was outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Every dish exceeded our expectations.
We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend The Millstone, especially if you’re lucky enough to have Margo as your server!

My wife and I have wanted to try this place since they opened. We had heard really good reviews but the couple times we went it was too busy and unfortunately we didn’t have time to wait. Got there early today and was seated immediately. Our server Robin (pictured) was great. She was fun and friendly We had the classic cod fish fry. It was delicious. Beer battered, flaky and we both enjoyed it a lot. Plus they gave us ample tartar sauce. Most places give you that tiny ramekin. We didn’t have to ask for more which was awesome. The rye rolls (instead of bread) were phenomenal. Warm to the touch, toasted and soft inside. Fries were really good as were the potato pancakes but I honestly liked the fries better. My wife and I were both very happy with our experience and will be back again. Thanks Millstone

I have been here three times, twice in the evening on a Friday – when it was very busy, and then today for lunch, another Friday.
All three times I have been very happy with the atmosphere, service and food.
Atmosphere – they have done a very nice job updating the tables, and “vibe” of the place. It feels cozy and is generally a nice place to “hang out” for a beverage or grab a meal.
Service – the staff has been very attentive, professional, and does a nice job checking in. The service seems to be a step above what you would expect from a “bar and grill” and closer to more of a restaurant only type of location.
Food – I have only had a small sampling of the menu, a couple of smash burgers and a wrap. All three have been very good, fresh and made to my asking. The other people I have been with have also been very happy; apparently the shrimp tacos are a must try.
The desserts look great but I have not had room left to give them a try! Give this place a shot, the prices are reasonable and I have had good experiences. They also have a “lunch punch” card I picked up today and have my first two “punches”. Seven more and something is free!

We are always looking for more local spots to try and the Millstone is right in our backyard. Located in little Merton, the business has been turned over a few times in the last years. This is our first visit and on a Thursday night we were not the only ones to enjoy the place. We sat at the bar and admired the tin ceiling and the comfortable atmosphere. Starting with a few drinks, the Millstone Old Fashioned choices are good and the drinks are strong! The Piña Fuego was not as sweet as we wanted, but thanks to Cristal, the server, she knew just how to make it as we hoped. Perfect!
I had 6 wings and sauce which were so meaty and delicious I ate them all. My friends had the Reuben and a Millstreet Burger and both were gone with no complaints. The fries are true potatoes and incredibly good too. The entire meal was great and we look forward to coming back. In the summer the front area will be open for outdoor seating.
While the business is not huge, the bar is wide and the dining area is good too. However, I expect there to be a wait if we come on Fridays and Saturdays. It’s worth the wait.
I highly recommend this place. As you wait for your table take a walk through the town and visit the cute stores on the main street, right outside the front door.

Love this place. Good food and attentive wait staff. Casual dining and family friendly. I have only had their fish fries – delicious by the way- but others in my group have ordered other items off the menu and everyone raved about their order! I have gone with children and toddlers in my group. Kids get a nice capped cup with a straw, crayons and paper. Booster seats are available. Food arrives timely. Atmosphere is lively. Very much recommend this place.

Wow! What a great addition! We started with the Muenster cheese curds which are definitely in the running for best curd in the state. The Bacon Smash Burger was insane. The melted cheese, special sauce, bacon jam, and fried onions amalgamated into the perfect bite. The steak wrap was great and refreshing. Recommend getting here soon!

The Millstone Old Fashioned and the cheese curds where the highlights!
I got the Bourbon glazed chicken wrap. It was good, but there was a ton of sauce! My husband ordered the California burger with bacon. Sadly, it didn’t come with any of the toppings or sauce. Just cheese, bacon, and like 3 patties.
We pointed it out right away to the waitresses, and she checked her order instead of actually looking at the burger and said that’s right. She came back later to fill our water and we said again, it wasn’t right. She took it off our order, so that was nice, but still disappointed it wasn’t corrected right away.

The Millstone lives up to its reputation of having great smash burgers.
I had the bacon jam burger, and my wife had the California burger. Both were excellent and served with a side of fries and a pickle. I’ll be back!

I stopped here with a guest on a Sunday afternoon- right around noon. We got a table in the bright, clean dining room right away. The hostess and waitress were very friendly. Our waitress’ timing and attentiveness were spot on; she was very pleasant, too. Unique, well- rounded, and well- executed menu. Burgers, sandwiches, tacos, wraps, apps, salads, and sides. They also have unique monthly specials- items that you won’t see anywhere else. I had the avocado steak salad and my guest had the blackened chicken salad. Our food arrived very quickly. We were both very pleased with the appearance, flavor, and portion size. The staff use a team approach- putting the guest first regardless of whose section a guest is seated in. I didn’t use the bathroom, but, if it’s like the rest of the restaurant, I’m sure it’s clean. Thanks, Millstone!
