This evening, I had the pleasure of dining with my mother at The Miller House. The experience was unforgettable. The house, erected in the early 1900s, displayed a timeless southern elegance. The service was exceptional and the cuisine was outstanding. This is a highly recommended destination for those in the area.

When I lived in Owensboro, this was my go to spot to take visiting family and date nights. Me and my now husband drive from out of state to ear here whenever we can! Happily drive 45 min each way for the best food, service, and atmosphere.
Food is top notch, ive had everything from their brunch options, apps (fried pickles are to die for), entrees (salmon risotto is my go to, but I can attest the steaks and chicken options are also high quality.) The menu is on what I believe to be a seasonal rotation with a few items that are staples (like their meatloaf!). Ive never been disappointed. Servers are always kind and knowledgeable. Atmosphere on the top levels/main level are nice and put together. The basement is a cozy bar area full of art and a prestigious alcohol selection. (I believe they won an award for their bourbon/whiskey selections/tastings.)
No dress code, I wear nice jeans and a cute top, but you can dress up. Reservations not required but I do recommend them! On date nights we can get an app, two entrees – which comes with soup/salad/sweet potato biscuits- and all well under $100.

Had a fabulous Sunday brunch here last week. The meatloaf was fabulous and even though they were very busy, the service was good. Highly recommend the sourdough toast – super yummy.
Going again tonight – looking forward to a ribeye!

Had a weekend trip to Owensboro and had someone recommend this place. So we stopped in, in casual clothes, sans reservation. Though they were busy (looked like Prom night) they fit us in immediately. Friendly staff, great service. Food was excellent, and quickly prepared. The Bourbon collection, in the basement bar was impressive.

Stopped here for lunch while we were in the area for business! I had the Vegetable Platter (broccoli, squash, spinach, green beans, and mashed potatoes) with a cup of chicken and artichoke soup. My husband had half of a fried green tomatoes BLT and a chef salad! Soooo good! Best fried green tomatoes we’ve ever had so far! Salad was fresh! Vegetables were filling! Definitely on our favorites list!

I had the Steak Manhattan special for the day and it was fantastic. Wifey had the shrimp and grits that was very good. We were seated in basement bar area and it was quite an enjoyable atmosphere and nice and cool on a hot summer day. Service was excellent. This old mansion was very well restored and repurposed for a special dining experience and it did not disappoint. We will be sure to come back.

First time in Owensboro and wanted to go out to eat and get a drink. I found this restaurant not too far away from the hotel I was staying at. The experience is magical, I felt like I had stepped back in time. The food was excellent and they have a good selection of Bourbon. I had a ribeye which was to die for. Will be going back soon!

I had no idea this place existed and was glad we had the chance to try it. The grit sticks were so good, I could’ve just ordered those. The bar downstairs is quite impressive as well, but they won’t serve you the Pappy rye ♀️ I also really enjoyed the roasted rosemary potatoes. Really everything is worth trying here. I don’t think you’ll find a bad dish.
