We had some delicious drinks at the bar first. The salad bar was wonderful. I had the pesto pasta with shrimp and the lemon ginger risotto and both were delicious. My husband had the Cajun shrimp Alfredo and really enjoyed it. Not to mention the prices were reasonable. We will be back.

To start we ordered the deviled eggs. We have never seen that on a menu before so we had to try it. They were really good and the dill on top was different but a nice touch. We then got salad bar and their chicken dumpling soup. I thought the salad bar was subpar and the rolls were hard so the salad bar could have been better. The soup was yummy and seasoned well. For our main course we got the mushroom ravioli and the carbonara. The mushroom ravioli had great flavor and was a good portion. The carbonara was too salty which was hard to eat because of that. We saw they had on side special of lemon risotto so we ordered that to try. If you love lemon flavor you will love this risotto. Overall this supper club for food was disappointing but our waitress was amazing and so kind.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, and leaving a 1 star is being generous. We visit Door County very frequently, and always drove past this place saying we would like to try it. Finally remembered as we went up to share the weekend with a “newbie” to Door County. Can you believe there are some that haven’t been there yet!? 🙂 Walking in, the smell was overwhelming with a musky smell. Ok. It’s an old place, it happens I guess. Let’s continue on. Drinks were not good. Didn’t even finish them. Ordered our food, and it was pasta dishes, and a chicken sandwich. Took well over 30 minutes (wasn’t busy), and when it arrived, all meals were cold. The pasta dishes were overtaken with garlic, and I like garlic. However, not that much. To each their own. Our server, I don’t recall her name, but she was very nice and did a great job on her end. For the price vs what we recieved, I don’t see that I’ll visit again, but I do wish you well, and hopefully it was just an off night, as we all have those.

Food was decent, not amazing. No real complaints – I’ve had worse and I’ve had better. Two friends ordered steaks the same doneness, one was perfect but the other was overcooked. The atmosphere wasn’t really like a supper club -it didn’t feel cozy like most do. Clean and normal for a restaurant but did not have the “supper club” vibe. Service was friendly and fast!

We had a wonderful experience tonight at The Mill. We started out with a cocktail at the bar. Dusty makes a great old fashioned and we had a nice chat reminiscing about growing up on farms in DC. We proceeded to the dining room and were greeted promptly by the host and then our server Moi. Moi provided great service throughout our dinner, paced things perfectly, and made excellent recommendations.

To start, at Moi’s recommendation, I had the whitefish chowder – chowda!! It was a highlight: rich, creamy, and full of whitefish, potato chunks, corn, and an herb or two (thyme, perhaps?) Next up, the king cut prime rib, rare, with buttered red potatoes, creamy horseradish and au jus. Note: I ordered the king cut specifically to have leftovers, for who can eat that much meat in one sitting? Not me. It was a glorious hunk of meat, everything I look for in a PR: fragrant, flavorful, well-marbled meaty deliciousness (I know, I can be so eloquent.) I ❤️ PR and this was like a valentine to me. The au jus and creamy horseradish were just right as accompaniments.

Lastly (and certainly not leastly): dessert in the form of a Brandy Alexander – shared between my two dining companions and myself. It was so thick the straws collapsed. We resorted to spoons. It was the perfect end to a delicious meal.

We will be back!

We were in Sturgeon Bay for the night and wanted to experience a supper club that we had not gone to on previous visits. MSC was a recommendation from our B&B owner. He stated that MSC gets busy because of their chicken dinners. I love chicken, so we wanted to give it a try.
It was a 45-minute wait, which was perfect for us as we wanted to have a cocktail or two at the bar. Christi had one of the hand-made brandy Old-Fashioned. Delightful! I had a Korbel Manhattan. I was pleasantly surprised when the bartender asked if I wanted it with or without bitters! It was an excellent question to make sure I got my Manhattan made the way I prefer. It, too, was very good!
Now comes the no so good part of the review. Dinner.
Obviously, I ordered the chicken meal. I chose a combination of broasted and baked. I wanted to try both. The chicken dinner comers with mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, coleslaw and a bread roll. After a 20-minute wait (not too bad), they brought everything but the chicken. A little over 5 minutes later, the chicken arrived. The potatoes we cold – not warm. The coleslaw was good. I used the gravy to try to warm up the potatoes, but it was only slightly warm. The stuffing was warm and good, but it is not homemade, but rather a prepackaged type. The chicken, however, we overcooked and dry. After 10 minutes of trying to flag down a waiter, I sent back the potatoes and chicken. He was apologetic and said he would be back with the replacements. 5 minutes later, the potatoes came back and this time they were very warm, perfect! Another 10 minutes layer my chicken came back, but it we even more cooked and dry. I only had one bite and shoved it to the side. I ended up pushing the chicken away and just fixing up on mashed potatoes and stuffing.
Wait, it doesnt end here…
My fiancée ordered the tenderloin and she ordered it medium – she made a point to say she only wants a little pink, not red. When it arrived, it was rare. We understand the cook doesn’t want to overcook the tenderloin, but it wasn’t even close to what she ordered. So it went back, too. When it came back 10 minutes later, it was well done – no pink.
The salad bar was nice, and we enjoyed its options.
In summary, I won’t come back for the food, but only for their wonderful cocktails and pleasant bartenders.

First time dining here, but certainly not the last. Food was top notch. The bartenders and our server were amazing. The bar has a nostalgic feel to it, however the dining area is very clean and modern. If I had to give any constructive feedback it would be to get sharper steak knives, otherwise everything else was amazing!

Went out with a group got there early. The mushrooms and risotto were cold. The steaks didn’t have any seasoning and were not cooked to the correct temperature. The waitress was less than attentive and we had to ask 3 times to get a refill. The salad bar was enjoyable

Waitress was great, probably the worst food we’ve ever had here at Door County.

This is more a VFW hall than anything else.

The filet was fatty and under cooked. The potato was hard as a rock.

The drinks were weak. Just keep driving, there’s better places.
