We were excited to try The Mill Coffee Shop in Fuquay-Varina, but unfortunately the experience didn’t live up to expectations. We ordered a cappuccino, hot chocolate, and a specialty latte (all large sizes). The cappuccino was average, the hot chocolate was below average, and the latte was decent at best. It was the first time that my kid threw out half of the hot chocolate.
What was disappointing is that although we paid for large drinks, they were served in large cups that were only about ¾ full. That didn’t feel right. On top of that, the server had an attitude, which really took away from the experience.
We had high hopes, but the sub-standard drinks and service ended up ruining what could have been a nice visit.

Shockingly rude female bartender—this has been my experience every time I’ve been there. Because of that, I’m genuinely surprised the place has a 4.8-star rating. It may be fine during the day for coffee, but the bar service has been consistently disappointing. That said, the effort to preserve the integrity of the original brick building is appreciated and aesthetically pleasing.

Staff is friendly. Lots of drink choices. A great place to hang out. There are a number of drink options as well as snacks, most provided by Stick boy bakery. They allow dogs so you can meet furry friends too. Coffee is really good. Fresh brewed and not bitter.

Did not try the food or coffee but I did go in expecting to grab coffee but went in sitting down reading a comic and drinking a beer ! Amazing atmosphere very settle but out there . Awesome staff with the great service and comfortably of talking with them. Overall nice little hang out spot even to just read a comic with a beer next to you .

A great place for a meeting, getting work done solo with great crafted drinks right there at your fingertips. In line waiting to get a gift card for a gift and staff new orders and names of patrons. Asked if they wanted iced or hot but otherwise knew all 3 orders in front of me. A true small town gem!!

I really enjoyed my time at The Mill. For starters, their coffee is really good quality with great/quick service. Personally, I got an iced mocha which was extremely good. Another great part is the atmosphere of the shop. There is a downstairs and an upstairs section which are both extremely cute. There are tables all around to work both upstairs and downstairs. It is a perfect to stop by in the afternoon and get some work done. Finally, there is also a bar which is downstairs. I did not try any, however, it also follows this cute and great atmosphere vibe.

I stopped in The Mill today. It was my first of many visits. We greeted and served by the most polite gentleman named Robert. He was so knowledgeable about the coffees and made the perfect suggestion since we had no clue what we wanted. He’s a huge asset to your business. Thank you Robert !

Great place to work remotely and have some coffee. I wish the refills were free and they used ceramic mugs, not the paper cups, for people staying there. Less waste that way.
