We came here after a whole day of travelling and the food blew us away. It was really amazing!! The service was very nice and the restaurant itself has a rather diner vibe but that made everything feel more authentic. We had the steak tostada and a chicken platters. As a starter we had salsa and chips. Everything tasted so good and we can definitely recommend!

The service here is always outstanding—friendly, attentive, and professional every time I visit. The staff truly makes you feel welcomed and taken care of. The food is just as impressive: consistently fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Whether you’re coming for a quick bite or a full meal, the quality never disappoints. It’s clear they take pride in both their service and their dishes, which keeps me coming back. Highly recommend!

Went out of town to this fabulous restaurant. Good old fashion mon & pop authentic cooking. Unreal!! The jalapeño poppers were excellent. Six fat, juicey, and very delicious poppers. I ordered the steak fajitas with traditional rice & beans. Tons of meat, tons of onions, tons of flavor!! It was thr bomb. We also ordered quesadila al pastor (spelling?). It was huge, 3 large pieces filled with total flavor. We also ordered the carnitas tostadas that served 3 huge pieces. We had a lot of leftovers. The prices are really great for today’s economy it’s well priced. The most expensive plate was only $16.99!!! Really great priced menu. The atmosphere was an old school restaurant, very warm and inviting staff. We’ll be back sooner than expected!!

Order mitclan quesadillas. I wish the menu let you know which type of tortillas were used. Flour tortillas for a Mexican restaurant?? And the food wasn’t flavorful. Taco Bell quesadillas taste better.

Delish!

We had nachos, birria tacos ,the molcajete and lots of yummy drinks. All were good.
I especially appreciated their nachos app -Last week my friends were talking about how Mexican restaurants often provide nacho towers with stacked piles of nachos, which look cool, but only the top layer gets cheese. the mictlan solve this, spreading out the chips so that all get the flavor, as you’ll see in the photo. Loved
also the molcajete was so good it comes with steak, chorizo , shrimp, chicken ,rajas ,grilled cheese, jalapeno and tortillas to build your own tacos, it can easily feed two people and let me tell you something THE BEST BIRRiA TACOS i ever had!!!

Highly recommended

This is the place to go if you want tasty, authentic mexican food + the best margarita on this side of the hudson! Lots of vegetarian options and meat lovers will also have all desires fulfilled. Been here several times and tried different dishes – awesome taste down the line! Small place, but cozy. Highly recommended!

I came here yesterday with my girlfriend for breakfast. I was going to go to this Cuban cafeteria close by but I’ve been there before and wanted to give this place a chance. I thought the back dining room was nice and convinced my girlfriend to give this place a chance.
We go in and sit down and loved the decorations and took pics of the place so we can give great reviews of the place in case we liked the food and service.
Well the waitress was very nice but did not speak English. I don’t speak Spanish very well but my girlfriend did. I wanted the $9.25 breakfast on the to go menu but I didn’t want black beans but wanted the refried beans. My girlfriend says the black beans are refried beans . I told her to ask the waitress and she did and waitress said yes. Maybe there was a confusion but we were charged their brunch breakfast prices for the huevos rancheros when we wanted the breakfast on the to go menu. Plus $3.50 for each coffee but on the menu it says $3 but on the receipt it says Cafe $0.00 but $7 for L, it said on the bill. We didn’t order a large cofee. I wanted to bring it up the prices we were charged because I felt misled but I don’t speak Spanish well enough and my girlfriend didn’t want to translate.

The waitress was very nice and did a good job serving so I’ll give the benefit of the doubt she somehow didn’t understand but I didn’t like that. I really hope it was that and not trying to upsell without asking.

The coffee was excellent and the food was good but could have been so much better if the food was hot, the food wasn’t hot at all, more luke warm like it had been sitting there for awhile unfortunately. Which I don’t get because we were the only ones eating in the restaurant the entire time we were there. The fries had barely any flavor. Maybe adding salt by the cook would have helped.

I was hoping for better. Maybe I’ll give them another chance but we’ll see. It sucks because I really wanted to like it and bring friends and family. Maybe lunch or dinner is better than breakfast. We were the only ones in the dining room during breakfast so maybe that explains why it isn’t busy for breakfast. I give this place a 3.3 rating for breakfast.

Holy cow. This is THE BEST Mexican restaurant in New Jersey hands down. We ordered the gorditas (off menu), Birria tacos, burros, queso, and guac two separate times and left no crumbs. The service is amazing and everyone is so friendly. Gaspar, the chef, is so kind and Ingrid is wonderful as well!! Just moved into town and I’m obsessed with this place! PLS CHECK IT OUT. Also the prices…. Phenomenal.

This is a cute little gem that open up two months ago. The restaurant has been renamed to ‘The Mictlán’ and the new owners are from la Cuidad de México. I ordered Tacos De Birria that were so delicious, highly recommend it. Nice red salsa with chips as appetizer. La salsa verde is good but could use a bit more spices.
