This place is so cool. They have a Rooftop bar, open later in the week. Big, open concept set in a cool part of the small city. Great views. Drinks were great, had the Margaritas. Street Corn nachos, steaks tips, chicken Milanese all recommended. Dessert is great too. Had the warm brownie sundae. Go and tell ’em Barsnobs sent ya!

Stopped in before a game at the dcu…. service was sloooow. Not blaming the waitress, they seemed short on staff – trying to cover too many tables…? No utensils,, no napkins… We had drinks and apps. I had the fish taco app good but great with the spicy mayo. Daughter had a salad and said it was very good. Hubby had a shrimp cocktail and it came in a bowl of cocktail sauce and it was warm. Like sitting out warm not freshly cooked. Ewww!

Went to The Mercantile on Saturday around 7pm. We didn’t have a reservation and was hoping to be sat on the rooftop. The host told us there was no availability on the roof as there was reservations. We understood and asked if we could be seated in the main dining. She was very kind and sat us right away. It took a while for a server to come over. When the food was delivered, we had no silverware. I asked another employee(not our waitress) who passed by for silverware. He said yes and then passed by 3 more times without silverware. Meanwhile the food was getting cold. As a server myself, this was very annoying to me. When we finally got silverware, the food was good but nothing special! We shared the Rangoons, Wings, Baked Chicken, Quesadillas, & Tempura Cauliflower. The Chicken dish was by far the best except the skin would have been better if it was crispier. The gravy, the creamy mashed, & even the green beans! For dessert, my son ordered a brownie sundae. This was so good. Everything tasted homemade. Best brownie sundae I ever had. The ambiance & music was great. When we were finished, we peaked up top. Several tables were available so that was a bummer. The top seemed to be a younger crowd and the main dining seemed to be an older crowd. Very pretty, very chill environment. The only downfall was the service.

From beginning to end, it was great. My friend and I had not seen each other in a long time and we spoke for hours catching up. Not once did we feel rushed, we got to enjoy a lovely dinner. As for parking, we left the car at the Common Garage steps away from the restaurant, evening price 5pm to 3am is $3. Overall Great vibe of a place.

Super trendy spot! Isaiah was a great server and extremely attentive without being overbearing. The drinks were good, and we had zero complaints with the espresso martini. The steak and eggs were wonderful (I opted for scrambled eggs instead of poached) the chimichanga burrito was a flourish of flavors that may be overwhelming to someone who isn’t a thrill seeker. The service, food portions and drinks were worth the 70 dollars spent.

I mean, it’s fine… I come here every so often to meet up with friends after work and the interior is great. Bonus points for rooftop bar when the weather is nice. The food is just… okay. Nothing I’ve gotten here has been particular impressive, but the staff is great and the drinks are decent. Portions are big though, so at least you’re getting basically two meals out of it.

I really like the atmosphere and location of this restaurant. Only issue really was the portions. I got steak tips and eggs which is like 25 bucks and I got 3 tiny steak tips. They were pretty good but I left hungry unfortunately. Probably won’t be back for the most part just don’t feel like it’s really worth the money at the moment. Good drinking spot though

Definitely recommend for a drink! The food was decent but nothing crazy. The drinks were creative and they have 100 bar seats. Street parking and garage parking only. If there is an event at the DCU center it’s $20. Street parking is per hour until 8pm. @amp_eats (instagram and Facebook)
