I’ve been going to The Melt in Del Mar Highlands since it opened and I love it. I have only tried a few different combinations but I can honestly recommend it. The menu is easy enough to figure out, as is the kiosk-ordering system. The customer service is great and the team is very friendly.
Funny enough, my favorite part is that the bathrooms are always so clean.
The Ginger Ale is a real kick in the throat (in a good way) and the pickles are great.
I usually go for the Chicken Swiss & Shroom burger but I tried something new this time and it was pretty good. I tried the Classic Crispy Chicken sandwich and the pickle-jalapeno mix really hit the spot. My only negative is that the chicken was so thick (but cooked well) which is not a bad thing for most people but I didn’t love that.

I’m not even usually a burger/sandwich person but I really recommend the melt to anyone. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and my friend ordered the garlic Parmesan fries plus vanilla shake. I was surprised how juicy the chicken was, and the sauce added perfect amount of flavor without being overpowering. I was worried that it might be too greasy but I really enjoyed the sandwich! The fries and shake were fire too. And the vibe is perfect to chat with friends. I will definitely be coming here again!!

This place was really good. You can sub any menu items with a plant-based patty. There is good seating indoors and outdoors. Service is fast and the food is customizable. You can get burgers too. I had a patty melt, it was good. I can’t have cheese but it was still good.

For the cost compared to other similar burger places such as shake shack, it is well worth it. We got the spicy friend chicken burger and a double spicy burger. The burgers are huge! The staff were friendly and efficient. Place is very clean as well! Will come back!

First and foremost the food is absolutely amazing!!! Today my host was Chaz and he was just as awesome as the food!! Super informative, sweet, and energy was unmatched. He not only was attentive to me, but as I waited for my meal he consistently checked on the customers throughout the restaurant to make sure everyone’s food and visit was enjoyable. The ambience of the restaurant was a vibe, music was awesome and the staff looked as if they actually enjoy their jobs. Which is why the food taste like it was made with love!! Thank you again Chaz I’ll be back again and again!!!

My granddaughters really enjoy the burgers here; the hamburger buns are exceptionally fresh, which enhances the overall taste. Personally, I appreciate the sweet potato fries —they’re delicious and add a nice touch to the meal.

Food was excellent..We had the Swiss & shroom burger & the original burger. “Melts” in your mouth..it was juicy and favorable.. I can say it’s one of my fave here.. The chocolate chip is soft & sweet, with a hint of salt.. hot out of the oven..yummmmyyy.. I recommend these 2 for sho..
