Good service from others that were not our waitress, very rude waitress. I was charged for a Pepsi zero that was not correct, sonething was wrong with it and I told her immediately and she took it away. The Mac and cheese was bland as was the cod sandwich. Tartar sauce was good though. Everyone else that we interacted with besides our waitress was very nice, however the six of us will not be back.

High prices with small portions. The fish platter is a joke. 3 small pieces of fish with a handful of fries for $17. The waitress was stressed out and high strung. We were seated in the back sode room by the fireplace and could hear commotion and arguing from the kitchen.

The Martindale House was a cozy experience. The staff was very exceptional with their hospitality and welcoming. For my lunch here I had their Martindale Burger, which was a fresh hand-padded hamburger topped with hot pepper cheese and savory bacon jam all on a pretzel bun. I also had one of their local crafted sodas which was highly delightful. Overall the entire experience was very charming.

This was a pleasant little restaurant that has a history of a hotel. The staff were very pleasant and food was delicious and reasonably priced. There several neat antique decorations throughout the restaurant.

My daughter and I had dinner there last night while at the Christmas Walk. My salad was delicious, the homemade ranch dressing to die for. Their chicken noodle soup was so good and my daughter said her hamburger was great. Very nice waitress who was working hard to work under very busy conditions. Great praise to the owners! Loved the atmosphere, as well.

We came on the train with a 2 hour layover, and waited 90 minutes for our food. Not once did the server come back and check on us for refills, or explain that there would be an extensive wait. We paid 90 dollars to take a couple of bites of food and rush back to the train so that we did not get left behind, and they still forgot the kids meals. No time to explore or enjoy the town. We were given a haphazard sorry about the wait as we were cashing out. We were near the kitchen and had to listen to them complaining about everyone that left and having a bunch of extra food, while we were still waiting on ours. I wanted to love this place, but it ruined our entire day trip. The kitschy feel of the place was kind of neat, but not worth returning for.

We stopped in for lunch during canal days. They were quite busy but the service was still friendly and quick. They menu is not extremely varied but everything was tasty, fresh, & hot. We had a lovely wine cocktail. The building is so quaint, and “antique-y”. We enjoyed it so much we went back the next day for lunch again!! The apple cobbler was so good we had it both days!!

Fish and chips were great. They didn’t have ingredients for the special bloody Mary and they brought beers in a bottle without asking if we wanted a glass. But the history and atmosphere were great.
