Fantastic good. The hanger stake (frites) was so good, chimichurri and garlic parm fries were amazing! The intern(sandwich) was also sooo good. And Jay was our waiter and treated us so well. He entertained my request to find out how the drink(figet bout it) I had was made! Very personable and great to talk to.

The food is delicious! The pasta has a perfectly chewy texture, and the cheesy sauce is rich and flavorful, though it becomes a little too salty toward the end. The chicken is cooked just right—tender and juicy. I also tried the pulled pork from my partner’s nachos, which was wonderfully melt-in-your-mouth and deeply savory. Overall, a very satisfying meal with just a small adjustment needed on the seasoning.

I stopped by the bar for lunch and ordered the Reuben sandwich with a glass of beer before catching up with my flight. The presentation was tidy, and it arrived on fresh rye with sauerkraut or similar, corned beed and some ketchup and mayo for the french fries. There was no thousand Island dressing. While everything was competently assembled, almost, the flavors never quite came together in a memorable way—it was pleasant enough, but far from spectacular.
The bar area itself was comfortable and pleasantly quiet, with only a handful of patrons scattered at the countertop. Despite the low volume of guests, I wasn’t checked on after my food arrived. When I realized I needed a little extra kick, I had to do some searching then spotting and reaching behind the bar myself to track down a bottle of hot sauce. A quick “How is everything?” or routine check-in from the bartender would have made the experience feel more attentive.
Overall suggestions:
• Prompt service follow-ups: Have bartenders pause mid-shift to ask guests if they need condiments, napkins or refills along with a brief smile.
• Table-side accessibility: Keep commonly requested items (spices, sauces) within easy reach or offer them proactively.
• Flavor enhancement: Consider offering a house-made relish or mustard to elevate a classic sandwich like the Reuben.

Overall a good experience. The burger is solid. The shaved beef “intern” was tasty but the sourdough bread is the wrong choice(they should go back to their French roll) as its very hard ( like the bread is really hard and hurt my gums) to eat plus very greasy. The fries I got were cold but tasted solid and aoli I paid extra for was pretty much just mayo. Also everything was pretty salty and the southwest salad has all the cheese in it.. I had a good time but writing this review made me realize the only solid food was the burger which I really enjoyed .

I had breakfast at this restaurant. The tables were clean and the staff were friendly. Anyone who was served by Daniel was lucky, like us! We ordered shakshuka and yogurt. Both were delicious. The restrooms were also clean.
I recommend this restaurant.

My son and I were in town to attend a concert and stopped for lunch at The Marq. Our server was Alex, and she was wonderful. My son had the hot fried chicken sandwich and I had the dirty bird sandwich. Both were exceptionally good, and the fries were amazing! I would definitely recommend this restaurant based on our experience and will definitely come here again the next time I’m in Chicago.

This place did not disappoint! We were in for a first visit to Chicago, and the reviews weee great. We went in at lunch, and it was packed! We both ordered a drink, which was very good and got there in great time. We ordered the dirty bird with tomato bisque soup and the hot chicken sandwich with Greek side salad. So yummy!! Very reasonably priced, food was hot and fresh. It was great. Would highly recommend. If we ever make it back to Chicago, we will return!

The Marq has good food, mostly casual american with an okay-ish-to-good taste. We tried their nachos, signature burger and short rib which were all cooked well. Their chicken wings were a little zesty for our taste. I accidentally dropped a glass at the restaurant and the servers were very accommodative and helpful, and I appreciated their niceness. The server taking our order however was pretty clueless about the menu, didn’t get us water, take menus after placing our order, kind off forgot doing a lot of basic stuff. I think the food was good if you want some casual stuff with drinks but not sure if it was very memorable.
