Walked in here after wandering around downtown Blacksburg. Was delighted to see they had happy hour so drafts were pretty cheap from 3-6.
We ordered some cocktails and draft beer- all of which was excellent ! We also ordered the smoked rabbit egg rolls. The peanut dipping sauce was wonderful with just a slight kick of heat- the other sauce – a roasted corn sauce maybe? Really had no flavor – so I just mixed it with the peanut sauce. The egg rolls themselves were good and a good portion for two of us to share for a snack.

Stopped in for a quick dinner at the bar. I ordered the Caesar salad with chicken, gluten free. The chicken was seasoned just right. The Melon Mirage and Berry Lazy summer cocktails were delicious. Thank you, Megan, for the great service!

First time here and we had great service and experience. They have inside and outside seating. Dogs are welcome in the outside seating.
Went on a Tuesday and every purchase of a beer, a dollar went to a charity of your choosing which was really nice.
The lamb burger and fried chicken sandwich was amazing. Really loved the veggies for the side.
Parking can be tricky but there are parking lots near and some street parking close too.

The service was good, the food was good, I recommend it. I had the buffalo cauliflower burger. It was vegetarian and no buffalo were involved, just buffalo wings sauce. The veggie side was pretty good, not just some steamed veggies, they actually took their time and grilled them.

I had dinner there with my sister Sunday evening, around 7-8 pm. We both thought we had plenty of time considering their website said they closed at 10. We both start with some drinks and the mozzarella bites app. The appetizer was pretty yummy, very nice combination of sweet and spicy. My ceasar salad was okay. The croutons were so hard that I couldn’t stick my fork in them, probably won’t order it again. My steak was pretty good, a little under the medium I had ordered, but I didn’t mind. My sister, however, had ordered a bacon cheeseburger, and when it came out, it didn’t have any bacon, and she also stated how hard her bread was. Our server also didn’t really check on us often because I assume they were doing their closing duties, and they started locking up at 9 pm, which just confused me a lot and made me feel very rushed. My sister ended up walking around the restaurant to grab another server to get the bacon she had asked for, and then when our server inevitability brought out the bacon, she stated that she had only ordered a cheeseburger. Which is whatever mistakes happen, but she could have been a lot nicer about it. After finishing my steak, I just wanted to relax and wanted to ask for some coffee and dessert. Our server came up. I guess, expecting us to want to pay and asked me if I wanted a tea to go before she tossed it out. I appreciate it, but again, I just felt very rushed and not welcome. I didn’t end up asking for coffee, but I did get the espresso creme brulee, which was very delicious. Overall, it’s not amazing, but not awful.

Food and service here are excellent! Really loved the unique pub-style food. The lamb burger with tzatziki sauce, spinach, and tomato was on a spinach roll and really good! Beware, the bratwurst was VERY SPICY! For someone who likes spicy, this was a painful, tear-inducing spice level. The fries were excellent and delightfully crispy. Lots of seating inside and outside. Would be great if the servers were wearing face masks to keep themselves and their customers safe.

Not great. Took 30+ mins to get our food for our party of four. We ordered simple things. The food came and my mushroom burger had no mushrooms.
While they do offered vegan/vegetarian options, they cooked my burger and veggies on a grill where other meat had been. Gross. My food tasted like it had been grilled in meat fat. Yuck.

I ordered the wings, and unfortunately, they were really disappointing. They were way too tough, and it didn’t seem like they were cooked properly. Honestly, it was the worst wing experience I’ve had in Blacksburg.

Mixed feelings. I’ve been rejected from Maroon Door every time I’ve tried to get in during the evening- they’ve told me that they’re not taking new customers an hour before closure. I’ve also not been a fan of some one staff member’s attitude towards one of my friends.
Decided to give them a try on a Monday, and it went very differently. There was almost no one else in the restaurant and it went a lot better! I got a BLT, which was unorthodox but good. It had a fried tomato in it, which was an interesting take on the T portion.
As a whole, I’d recommend that you avoid coming near closing time – otherwise, not bad.

This might just be my favorite restaurant in Blacksburg, they have such a unique and diverse menu! I went the other day for an early dinner with my family and ordered the wild mushroom burger! It was one of the best burgers i’ve ever had and was very flavorful! We also ordered the mozzarella bites for an appetizer and everyone loved them! High recommend ordering them! Our waiter was very friendly and made sure our drinks were never empty! O
