We were at the zoo and starving, left and came here then ate our food at the zoo. One of the best Philly Cheesesteaks i’ve ever had. All of the sandwiches looked like something I would love. Free parking lot. Cheap drinks and lots of snack options. The salads and take home goods all looked good too. No tables to eat at, but good food to takeout.

This place is an absolute local gem. Not only is it a small grocery store but they also have the best local kitchen for grab and go food items. They serve breakfast – dinner. The prices here are VERY reasonable. My favs are the chicken caprese sandwich, Marketplace, Californian, and the bolt. Their salad selection is also on par. Their pasta salad (pictured) and potato salad are delish.

Slam dunk sandwiches. Ordered online ahead of time and pickup was a breeze. Very crowded around lunchtime and the parking lot is pretty small, but people move in and out pretty quickly with the fast service. My group ordered the Christopher Columbus (turkey, avocado, Swiss, the works, on sourdough), the Torpedo sub, and a hot pastrami sandwich on sourdough. Sandwiches are between $11.99 and $14.99 for the most part and they are packed with meat and toppings. I was full after finishing half of my sandwich. They offer breakfast burritos, pizza, and other non-sandwich dishes on their menu I’d be interested to try. Balboa Park is just across the street so taking sandwiches to the park for a picnic would be a great idea.

Great place near balboa park to get your sick items for a picnic, pride parade, or your local mini deli and grocery store. They also have fresh sandwiches, salads and more to get your quick meal. Love coming here when I forgot to bring something to a picnic. Alcohol and beverages are available.

Very impressive market place! It’s perfect for seeking a weekday lunch here. They have a lot of cooked foods options and they make amazing sandwiches. I tried a cold Market Place sandwich and got my sourdough bread toasted. The taste is amazing. It’s very big and will make your day very energetic! I recommend this place for sure.

The perfect place for a snack or picnic shopping for your visit to balboa park! It has it all and at good prices. From cold salads to warm sandwiches, deli, salty and sweet snacks, bubbly drinks and alcohol, it really has it all. I would highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Balboa park. Not much place to sit outside.

My girlfriend and i’s go to place for a good sandwich! They’re delicious and fresh and served by the nicest staff! It’s always quick and everyone is so so sweet, we’ve come multiple times and no matter who’s working it’s always amazing vibes & great sandwiches!
