Very proud to call myself and my partner regulars at The Marigold Club; and a review is likely well overdue. In a city full of wonderful food, where Marigold truly shines is their service. From the hostesses to the servers and managers; everyone who works here makes you feel like you’re the most important person in the room. I have quite literally never been anywhere where there’s such meticulous attention to detail in service, consistently. (It’s actually to a point where even if they did serve me something bad (which they don’t) I think I’d be so enamored with the ambiance, the restaurant design, and the service – it wouldn’t matter.)
Regarding the food; I would highly, highly recommend Marigold’s entire raw menu – but in particular their oysters. They consistently have a rotating selection of East Coast oysters and whoever is shucking them deserves a raise because they always come out beautifully cleaned and ready to eat. On the permanent menu; I’d really recommend the gnudi and the waygu tartar with sourdough – both are to die for.
I would be remiss to not give Gervin a shout; we request him as our waiter every time. We were lucky enough to have Gervin on one of our first visits for golden hour (more on that later) and when we returned *months* later he remembered us, greeted us by name, and brought horseradish out with our oysters because he *remembered we’d requested it months prior*. And the rest is history. I genuinely don’t think anyone comes close to his level of professionalism, memory when it comes to clients, and knowledge about the food (and drink!!).
The rest of the team is also just beyond wonderful. The hostess (I *think* her name is Xila? Forgive me!) is so incredibly sweet and helped us find a spot on a very busy night for a special occasion; Oscar has been a great server as well as so many other folks I’m blanking on off the top of my head.
I think I’d be writing a book, and not a review if I really said all the good things I thought about this place. Thank you to all of you for creating a space that feels like magic to us; we’ll see y’all soon 🙂

We came to The Marigold Club for my birthday lunch and it was perfect from start to finish. The space is absolutely stunning — from the vibrant murals to the colorful chandelier, everything feels elegant and artistic without being over the top.
Service was excellent the entire time. The team was attentive, professional, and made the whole experience feel special without being intrusive.
And the food… incredible. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor — fresh, balanced, and just really well done. It’s the kind of place where the presentation matches the quality.
Overall, a fantastic spot for a celebration or a nice lunch in Houston. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back.

This was such a wonderful place to spend my wife’s birthday!! she had wanted to come here for a long time. the dishes we had were comfort food in this cold weather!! the Croque Madame, the English Muffin Sando, the yellowtail crudo, marigold salad, scoop of clotted cream and the banana bread! my wife loved the Croque and i loved the banana bread. the best part was the service by the lovely Anne!! she was very personable and freely gave her opinion on favorite dishes!! ask for her when you go!!

Such a hidden gem! Everything about this restraunt is cozy opulence. The food was delicious but the whole experience made it even better. Note you do have to pre-order the afternoon tea. We were not aware of this but our server helped us DIY an afternoon tea plus alot more. Their banana bread was to die for!!! Staff was amazing too and went out of their way to accommodate us.

I had an absolutely fantastic time at The Marigold, enjoying tea and lunch with my girlfriends! The luxurious atmosphere and prompt service made a fantastic first impression. And I loved the impressive selection of teas and the delightful variety of food and drink options. It was such a hidden gem for any gathering. I went back a month later and enjoyed a phenomenal dinner with my husband and his guy friends.

Been here several times, sat in all 3 rooms, tried all sorts of food and this is by far one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. Food, Ambiance, Service, everything. My favorite thing to order here is the beef tartare, roasted chicken and the fries are amazing. Their deserts are super delicious, they gave us 2 different options for a birthday we came for on the house, and we tried the ice cream cart which was super cute and had the perfect portion size. The manager has checked on us a few times, as well as our serves always being very helpful and attentive. Definitely recommend this place for a nice dinner destination for any sort of occasion. One of my favorite spots in Houston.

It was my first visit and I was blown away from the level of quality and service provided to me. I was celebrating an anniversary and was given a personalized card and free dessert to make our dinner feel special. The restaurant was very beautiful and had a lovely refined and upscale atmosphere. They had a variety of foods for those with restrictive diets and complementary valet. Our server was also very knowledgeable in the dishes they had and was able to answer any questions we had.

The ambiance is lovely and we were very impressed with the service. The food was 4.5. The presentation was great. Flavors were not quite a 5 but still very good and a wonderful place for brunch. Check out the hand painted wall paper! Wow!!
