The food was terrible — I felt nauseous after eating the rice with kebab, it tasted as if it had been boiled. The food service was also poor; the woman at the counter never smiled or showed any courtesy.
Overall, I will never come back to this awful restaurant.

Very disappointing experience. The chicken kabab tasted awful, and it was obvious it was cooked in a fryer with oil /smell butter not on the grill who will cook kabab on fryer The chicken had a greasy, burnt flavor and didn’t taste fresh at all. Mixing fryer oil or leftover butter with chicken completely ruined the dish. This is not acceptable cooking practice, and it shows a lack of care for food quality. I won’t be coming back. My wife and I were actually quite disappointed with the market the other day. It’s actually quite surprising. We absolutely love The Mantu and the market. This was not a good showing at all!
The food was very obviously microwaved and then dressed up to look freshly prepared. You could see the telltale bubble and burnt areas in the sauce at the bottom of the containers. The “Naan” which it resembled in no way was stone cold and was really not edible. It’s nothing like what we’ve come to expect from an exceptional chef and human being.
We truly hope that this is not a trend that continues at the market! After spending over $50 on meal, we’re a bit in doubt.
We’re great supporters of Chef and his passion/heart he puts into his food, people and business. This was not a good example of that!
We’ll continue to frequent The Mantu in Carytown but are on the fence now when it comes to the market.

I recently had the misfortune of dining at Mantu Market, and it was an experience I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. From start to finish, it was a disaster.
First off, let’s talk about the bolani. It was absolutely terrible. The texture was off, I’ve had bolani at numerous other places, and this was by far the worst I’ve ever tasted was too oily
Now, onto the chicken. I don’t know what they did to it, but it was inedible. It was dry, overcooked, and had a strange aftertaste that made me question if it was even safe to eat. It was supposed to be one of their specialties, but it was a complete disaster. I took one bite and couldn’t bring myself to eat any more
The service was equally disappointing. The staff seemed uninterested and unengaged. It took forever to get our order taken, and when the food finally arrived, it was cold, the service member they were exchanging number didn’t care about customers
I usually try to find something positive to say in my reviews, but in this case, there is nothing redeeming about Mantu Market. It was a complete waste of time and money. I left feeling not only unsatisfied but also slightly nauseous.

I had a unique and delightful experience enjoying Pacha and Chicken Dashi with Naan. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service went above and beyond expectations. I highly recommend visiting to explore their incredible variety of flavors. Thank you so much, brother Hamidullah Noori!

I have ordered maicha palaw and the meat was partially cooked which was not ready to eat. When asked customer service she told me it can’t be cooked more. Again went to her and shown her that it’s not cooked well but she was behaving rude. Not really satisfactory customer service

Its a small shop that has groceries and food. I got chicken chapli, their quantity is very generous.. they gave around 3 pieces and tbh, the taste was also pretty good! I would definitely rate it a 4/5. Try their chapli kebabs, i’ll definitely go and try their chicken tikka kebab
