This was our first visit to the Mango Peel and it was wonderful. Staff was friendly and very tentative, drinks were refilled before they were empty and not $5 each like some of the reviews mentioned. The chips kept coming and all the food was delicious. And the new parking lot was absolutely amazing!!! We will be visiting more often now that there is more parking! (In the past when we tried to go there was no parking so we would go somewhere else.) Great job guys we will be back!

Love this place! Anytime I have a new job in a different town I always try and find a good Mexican place and this is it! Food is delicious, their house made sauces are great not just spicy but flavorful too which I find to be an issue at a lot of places. Staff is very friendly and service is prompt. 10/10 recommend

The Mango Peel is a fantastic Mexican restaurant. The dining room was clean and inviting. My family and I were greeted and seated quickly. Our nachos (along with cutlery and napkins) came soon after, as did our drink orders. The menu was very extensive, and it was challenging to make an entree choice. But the lunch specials were so reasonably priced that all of my family ordered from the lunch menu. We all loved our choices, which were served quickly and piping hot. The flavors were incredible and the portions were the perfect size for lunch. I could have used a bit more heat on my dish but not everyone in my family loves super-spicy food, so it was perfect for them. (EDIT 12/29/2023) My family and I have returned to The Mango Peel several times now. It’s our favorite Mexican restaurant in Surry County. The food and service is consistently great; not once have we been disappointed. The Mango Peel definitely needs more parking space, especially since it is the one of the best restaurants in Elkin.

Ordered vegetarian plate which to my surprise had meat in it. Called multiple times every time they answered they hung up before I could get halfway through a sentence. Service has been horrible. Don’t offer vegetarian plates if you cannot provide it’s that simple. Not to mention the railing up the steps wiggling back and forth anytime you touch it, definitely a hazard.
