The Makers – Bakers & Builders is a family owned and operated bakery/cafe located on the historic Aurora, NE square. We offer delicious made-from-scratch pastries, homemade breakfast options, and wholesale/fundraising/catering contracts. We also offer fresh espresso, drip, and cold brew (dispensed on tap!) coffee from beans locally roasted in Lincoln, NE. The Makers is a nice coffee shop in a historic building in the charming town of Aurora, Nebraska. I had a really good frappe and the breakfast burrito was large. A chalkboard wall keeps children busy while caregivers enjoy their coffee.

When I return to my “hometown” from Lincoln, I love to stop here for a sandwich. Especially like the Hawaiian Panini! Enjoy the clean, quiet atmosphere and friendly staff. I would bring my 97 year old mother who would be in a wheelchair and it was an easy accommodation for us.

First time here and it won’t be the last! Great atmosphere very friendly and helpful staff! We just missed breakfast but our lunch selection did not disappoint!
