A date night well spent. The ambiance is always wonderful, but with the holiday decor, it took everything up a notch. We haven’t been since the new chef took over, and he did not disappoint. The drinks, the salad, the entrees (we got the pork collar & sea bass), and the dessert were all balanced and tasty. Maura, our server, was attentive and kind. Can’t wait to come back!

We dined at the maker hotel for our girls trip and we had a great time. We were in a group of six people, and we made a reservation beforehand. The space is beautiful on the inside and outside. The menu is small but with plenty of options for appetizers and main entrées, we ended up splitting some appetizers a pasta dish and we each ordered a main dish, our favorites or the eggplant appetizer mushroom pasta, and peach appetizer. Overall, the staff were really friendly And I love the atmosphere. I would definitely dine in here again for special occasions. However, I would say that it’s a bit expensive.

My only disappointment was the chef’s refusal to add protein of some sort ( beans, hummus) to my meal. There was hummus on the menu as a side dish for another meal. When you eat in a high-end place like the maker, you don’t expect to be offered an Impossible burger as a vegan solution!
I did have a delicious meal of pasta and mushrooms. I just would prefer to have protein of some sort.!

Incredible food, service, and atmosphere! Michael took care of our reservations and was our waiter for dinner; he made sure that they not only accommodated my very difficult food restrictions but also presented us with a delicious meal (I had the Loup de Mer, and my partner had the Bavette). From the dynamic lighting in the greenhouse dining room to the lower back pillows on every seat, the Maker does not miss.

On a driving tour of NY and Mass in September, we stayed in Hudson for a few days and ate here one night. Very nice place. Very comfortable and relaxing restaurant. We had a great meal with wine and were not rushed to finish.
Nice looking crowd the night we visited. We did not have a reservation and had to wait half an hour to be seated. Waitress was very pleasant and attentive.
A very nice experience for our group of three.

Really pleased with the lunch we had at The Maker. The tea selection was superb, food was excellent, and the atmosphere made me feel like I had stepped straight into an Agatha Christie novel. There is one single restroom, and unless you know what to look for it’s a bit hard to find, that’s my only small complaint. There can also be a bit of a line for it when it’s busy. Overall this is a fantastic place to pop in for tea or a meal. We loved the dining room decor and comfortable seating, the window seats are also a great place to people watch from, as they look out onto bustling Warren St. Try the chips and dip, I also recommend the smoked salmon. Definitely don’t leave without having a cup of tea! I can’t wait to go back and try more of their delightful menu.

Absolutely incredible experience at The Maker! The new chef has truly elevated the menu — it’s beautifully French-inspired, creative, and every dish was detailed and cooked to absolute perfection. You can really taste the care and technique in every bite.
