I Have passed by this place a few times and it was always full and looked inviting. So today I made it a mission to stop by for lunch.
First impression: excited to be here. There weren’t many visitors yet so I was expecting to be served quickly. That wasn’t the case. A bit of a wait for my meal.
What I ordered for my tasting meal: a cheeseburger, small fries, chili dog and a strawberry lemonade. The cheeseburger was good. It came with raw onions, pickles and cheese. I added avocado and it was actually tasty. Good size.
The chili dog I did not like. The hot dog itself was too salty to swallow. The chili had beans. I never have chili with beans on my hot dog. What could it mean? Maybe it was not homemade. I threw mine away.
The small fries were great, a perfect small portion, crunchy and tasty. The strawberry lemonade with real strawberries was tasty and refreshing, although a tad too sweet. I added water and tasted better.
Price for this tasting meal – $26 and change.
Appearance: nice and inviting from the street. It has plenty of tables, chairs and umbrellas. There is a big chair in the back for your Instagram photos. In the back, below, there is also a pond and you can walk around it if you wish. They call it the river walk. They also have a small playground for kids.
In addition to burgers, fries, hot dogs and drinks, they also have flatbread pizzas, soups, salads, seafood platters, sandwiches, grinders and more. They also have ice cream and shakes. The server said their special Peanut Butter Cookie Shake was a hit and people were raving about it. I did not try the ice cream or shakes. Maybe next time.
As you can see, quite an extensive menu.
Would I return? Maybe. To try something else on their menu. They close for the season on Monday, 9.8.25. So it will have to wait till next year.

The Main Moose is a fantastic spot for great food and family fun! I had a delicious, freshly grilled burger that totally hit the spot. The menu has something for everyone—seafood platters, lobster rolls, sandwiches, salads, and more. The hardest part was choosing an ice cream flavor with so many tempting options! The Moose Sluice (panning for stones) was a blast and such a fun, unique activity. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I even bought a t-shirt to remember my time there. Can’t wait to go back!

My parents talk about this place all the time. So we had to check it out. Outside restaurant with plenty of seating and even outside games for the kids. The service was fantastic and the food was even tasty but the mistakes. We ordered a Moosemac burger and the breakfast burger. I asked for no bread on my breakfast burger and a side salad with no peppers and onions. Told them allergy alert. My burger came out with lettuce as the bun which was awesome but my salad had onions all over it. My fiance burger didnt even have mac n cheese on it. Was just a regular burger and they forgot his fries. We didn’t say anything because it was so busy but we def didnt get what we paid for but was very tasty and we enjoyed what we did get. The service was awesome. The cashier even helped me bring my stuff to table because I have a walker and don’t walk well, she even saw I didn’t have a fork so she went and got me one. Their was a guy singing music while we ate. Cool atmosphere. There is a place also for dessert if you have the room.
Just alerted by The Main Moose respose that Moosemac is not Mac n cheese on your burger like we thought, its just a cheeseburger. Go figure lol. So two mistakes not three but whos counting. Food was good n service was good

We hit this spot on the way home from a day of hiking and I’m so glad we did. It’s so nice to find great little places when you’re driving around. They had plenty of seat yourself tables out of the sun with a covered area and tables with umbrellas. You order at a window and get a buzzer to pick up your food. The food and ice cream windows were separate. We didn’t have to wait long at all and the food was good, the fries especially were cooked perfectly and had such good flavor. Husband and boy got chili dogs and I got steak and cheese that I could only eat half of so husband finished it, so filling but so delicious, and also we had to try the ice cream. Which was absolutely worth trying, I got the graham cracker ice cream with chocolate covered honey bits and boy got cookie dough and husband got the old man’s special of butter pecan. Such a great spot, definitely worth checking out. They accept cash and cards.

Great ice cream. Finally got a chance to try the food and it was well worth it. Hot dog and chicken sandwiches were cooked well and tasted great.
The overall vibe and look of the place is constantly improving and it’s great for a quick bite and leaving as well as just hanging out and walking around. Nabbed some photos of the walking path and it’s a great place to walk, talk and eat.

Our first visit. A beautiful place with lots of activities especially for the kids. It was raining today so we didn’t explore it all. The staff were super friendly. We enjoyed all the food and ice cream. I took a point off because the clams were a little squishy. Not gritty at all but a little undercooked. I’d go back.

The food was really good. Nice size portions. I couldn’t eat it all. Great place for outside dining. Games and other stuff to entertain the kids. The also have ice-cream but I will have to go again to sample those options. Can’t wait to bring my grandson. He will love the trucks and tractors.

Went there for lunch with some friends. Had a great time, it was a beautiful day! Outside seating under a covered area. Had some games for the kids and some old vehicles for the adults, I had fun with the Ladder pumper truck. Your not aloud to get in or touch the vehicle’s, probably because of insurance reasons, but they were great fun to look at and talk about with my son!

Wow! This place opened only about a month ago and I was hearing mixed reactions initially as they were getting their newly opened kinks out. Well, I can strongly say they have worked everything out. This place is AWESOME!
Hubby ordered the scallops po’boy sandwich and I went with the basic fish and chips for our first visit. The cashier was so friendly, nice and efficient. We were given a beeper to notify us when our meal was ready. We found a nice clean, new table (only outside seating) and watched a couple families enjoying the games available to use. After only a fifteen minute wait (and they had non-stop business), our food was ready.
Hubby’s sandwich was on a perfectly grilled roll, the scallops were cooked perfectly and the sauce was the perfect accompaniment. My nice size piece of cod was cooked perfectly with a nice breaded coating. The fries were perfect! (Am I using that word too much?). Wonderfully crunchy flavorful exterior and perfectly cook interior. Even the pickles and coke slaw were ver good.
We cannot wait to try this place again and bring some friends here too. They have a variety of menu choices that are sure to please most people. Give them a try!
