Came for a Sunday carvery and it is very good value for money and for what you pay, the food is very good. Decent joints of meat and it’s good you can serve yourself for the rest of the items. Was disappointed by the roast spuds though. They look a lot better than they taste. Definitely not the best roasties in Hampshire 1 hour 30 minutes to give the table back isn’t ideal either should be 2 hours like most restaurants but all in all not bad.

Came for the social media posts, stayed for the exceptional food (even better than raved about!) the warm welcome and delightful staff. The pub interior itself is very cosy and is just the place to have either a generous roast or a few drinks. Kids were very welcome and catered to and I can safely say we’ve had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Thank you to the team and the Mailman’s Arms!

Absolutely amazing carvery. We went today for the first time, purely having seen a recent social media reel, and it 100% lived up to expectations. This is a wonderful find. Everything at the carvery was delicious, from the meats to the veggies to the gravy. The beef was nice and pink, just how I love it, and was so tender. The roasted carrots and parsnips were really tasty. The Yorkies lovely and crispy and the gravy was thick and rich. Well done to Meg and Lisa, what a fantastic team you are in the kitchen cooking all that lot to absolute perfection. We will be back soon.

Beautiful pub, so welcoming and cosy. Staff were really friendly and the food was delicious! Unfortunately the burger fell apart as the base of the bun was soggy.

Came for the “best roasties in hampshire” was met with mediocre ones at best. Yes they look incredible but the reality is they are no where near what they look like. The veg seems like they lost their will for effort with one of those bags of frozen peas and carrots although there was an option of roasted option which saved it. The meat was ok but beef was quite chewy. The atmosphere is ok but the table layout is pretty awful having to squeeze through between seats. The single bar staff made getting drinks quite slow but ive had worse.
Outside looks amazing with plenty of seating for those summer days. Overall the roast was ok but not worth £20 in my opinion and the place itself could do with a little improvement with seating.

Lovely independent pub. Fully decked out for Halloween, when we went.

You get the impression that they are trying to be different to the chains, which I loved.

We only had one drink as we had to go but seeing the food come out, I wished we’d stayed for lunch.

Next door to the Ferrari garage, who can resist a pint and a drool?

This might by me…took me a while to understand the pub’s name. Not sure why. Font style? Punctuation? Blonde moment? Struck me that it took me a moment to know what it was called when I text my wife where I was. Small point.

Lovely pub.

Stopped here while cycling in the forest. Sandwiches were tasty, would be good to have other options but the quality was high. Friendly service and pleasant country pub.

Lovely pub, slightly small but able to accommodate to big tables if needed. Megs roasts are delicious and she is very friendly! Nice pub to visit in Lyndhurst!

Really lovely local pub. We were pleasantly surprised at how yummy the food was and there was a specials board with even more options. The staff were really friendly and the table service was prompt. We watched the Englamd game inside and the TV kept cutting out (thankfully not at a critical momemt), the owns think it was reception related but seeing as the TV actually shut off I think it’s a TV fault. Overall really nice experience and would recommend this lively pub to all.
