This is without a doubt my new favorite Mediterranean spot. I had not been before tonight. I’m not sure where to start. When I walked in it was dinner time and definitely busy, with a number of folks waiting for to-go orders or just doing pickup. Always a good sign. (Note: in my photos I was very deliberate about not including other people in my pictures. This is not a reflection of the restaurant’s busy level, as it was very difficult to manage!)
I was greeted quite politely, as though I was a familiar face, which I wasn’t expecting, but I quickly became clear that friendliness is absolutely just a part of it. I ordered and sat down to wait. A number of people called ahead and just cycled in and out, and I was in and out within about 10 minutes. Next time I’ll sit down and enjoy it there. The restaurant was clean and kept quite orderly and neat.
I got my food and had to resist the temptation to break into it on the drive home (also a good sign). Smells absolutely wonderful.
We got two large gyros (one chicken, one traditional) and an order of fire fries and an order of Greek fries. The amount of food that I have in front of me is insane. These are LARGE gyros. The fries are a great proportion of seasoning and fries, and also they’re FRESH which makes such a huge difference.
Everything we had was phenomenal, but my wife and I traded bites and each decided that we’re going to order more the next time. I cannot quite describe how good the chicken gyro was. I have no idea what seasonings were used but it was PERFECT. The amount of toppings was perfect. The amount of sauce was perfect. The amount of chicken was, to be completely honest, intimidating; everything together was just incredible.
I went here expecting a nice simple dinner. I wanted good solid gyros and fries, something I’ve had a million times in my life.
I was not expecting to fall in love. The Mad Greek 100% has a customer for life. I am blown away by how good this food is. I will be back as often as I can go.

This went from 5 stars to nearly one! I have eaten at Mad Greek more than any other place for over the past year. I’ve spent hundreds of dollar on that time. I even drive 30 minutes to eat there most times and always stop by when I’m down the street at my friends house. The two ladies at the counter even recognize me now. But about a week ago my boyfriend food a piece of broken ceramic in one of our meals. Since then the thought of Mad Greek is stomach quenching. And this is after it never sounding bad. I love supporting family owned businesses and their flavors are on point, though their baklava and cakes are just ok. BUT I CANNOT support a business that doesn’t care about food safety or sanitation. All this has us thinking exactly how this would be able to happen if the food had lids on them. And if they dropped a plate near food they were cooking why would they be so careless to serve it. Not sure if I’ll ever go back, which is really unfortunate because they were one of my staples.

The food was top tier and very affordable. For this food & presentation of the food it should be more in my opinion. I’ve never had better Greek food, we got the flaming opa and it was amazing along with the experience the man who served it was enthusiastic & friendly. We were so so stuffed but had to get a dessert to go. We will be back to try more.

The best Greek food I’ve ever had in the Columbus area! I’ve had a lot of this cuisine but Mad Greek was elevated. Their portions are generous and the quality was incredible. I was pleased with the sauces they had and their selection. Much more to choose from than just gyros. I loved their baklava and I’m excited to try this place again when I’m in the area.

Had a hankering for greek food and found this place relatively nearby. Glad we did though! The menu is quite extensive so we had a hard time deciding on what to try!
We ended up with the Dolmades, two kinds of salads, and two of their fish dishes. You order at the counter but then sit at a table and they bring the food to you.
Every dish we had was beautifully presented and tasty. The only mishap was the lemon sauce for the grouper which was overly salty.
Definitely worth the visit!

My husband and I just moved into the neighborhood and love Greek food so decided to stop by. We were impressed by the variety of menus items and bakery items, especially since everything is homemade! It was so delicious, and definitely best hummus I’ve ever had- even better than my home recipe. We took pastries to go that were to die for! The place was so cosy and busy but still had great service! Definitely a small local family Business we will frequent whenever we can.

This place is simply incredible. I went for dinner tonight and the service was incredible. The service was so incredible in fact, that when a yelling lady came made a hysteria in the lobby, they compensated every table at the restaurant with a free order of hummus. Even without the free hummus, the meal was incredible and the service was still amazing. Truly amazing. The food portions were also fantastic.

The food is delicious. They also offer a drive up window if you order a head. I was working on the base that’s behind it, so it was super convenient. I will come back again when I’m in town! I had the Mediterranean Veggie dish and it was so good!

I placed my order and was surprised with how quickly it was out to me. I ordered the number 8, which consisted of a jumbo gyro, fries, and a drink. I ordered lemonade and received pink lemonade. No biggie there. My gyro was awful! The pita bread was hard. I think they thought I ordered a salad cause that seemed like all that was there. The meat was rubbery. The fries were soggy as if they had been sitting in grease and then refried. I absolutely love Greek food, but I will not be returning to The Mad Greek.

We ate there this weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it! My husband had the beef shwarma and I had the calamari salad. Generous portions of food, everything was well seasoned and tasty, and there was plenty of tender well-cooked calamari on my salad. We shared the tzatziki and pita, which was also delicious. We wish there was such a fabulous place as this in our home town!
