Honestly really disappointed. The sandwiches are the most basic sandwiches that I could make at my house. I requested lettuce and tomato for my ham and cheese sandwich and was served with 1 small tomato. Is there a shortage??? The ham looks and taste like Oscar Meyer and the cheese looks and taste like Kraft. I guess I just expected more for $12. Staff was friendly though and that’s always nice

“I ordered a birthday cake for my husband from The Lunch Box and it was absolutely delicious! They truly have some of the best desserts in town. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made. Highly recommend for anyone looking for quality treats and excellent service!”

mediocre food – $10 for a chicken salad sandwich with nothing except bread & chicken salad? and the mexican wedding cookie i got tasted like it sat in a plastic bag for years. the place was cute & the lady was nice, but i really wish i would’ve stopped somewhere else for a better $10 meal.

Very friendly staff. The coconut pie was awesome, especially the homemade crust. Also had the potato soup, which comes with a large piece of cornbread, and it was delicious as well

Breakfast quesadillas and the breakfast sandwiches are fantastic. A friend said they were the best breakfast sandwiches he’d ever had, and he was right. Only wish they opened at 6am instead of 7am so I could get Breakfast here before work. I’d probably eat here 3x a week if they were open earlier.

I have never had their food, but they have wonderful teacakes! I bought the lemon, strawberry, chocolate, blueberry and snickerdoodle. The chocolate was my favorite, but they were all good. I recommend! Also, the Mexican weeding cookie is divine! Need to try their food

You pay a penny more for getting a full dozen and a penny less if you get two boxes of a half dozen each. Why??
Having said that, the tea cakes & cookies are divine & the service is great. We bring back their tea cakes with us each time we visit our old hometown, Lufkin, TX. Our friends look forward to us bringing them back.

The last few times that I have purchased desserts from them they haven’t been fresh. In July my mom’s cake had hair in it and the one I purchased yesterday wasn’t fresh. When I inquired about the freshness of the cake the lady at the counter was very rude. This is disheartening because I have been a customer for years but won’t be going back.

First time ever trying out this place. Heard wonderful things about their pies. Well, the Key Lime Pie is just sad. It’s full of pineapple chunks & coconut, it’s gelatinous consistency is strange. It tasted nothing like key lime in the least bit. However, it reminded me of a Watergate salad. I thought perhaps they made a Watergate pie & mislabeled the pie box, but nope. They call this key lime, but it’s not. It didn’t taste terrible, so there’s that.

Had the chicken salad sandwich, coming from a place that claims to be a bakery I would have expected the bun to be fresh and good but it was not. The chicken salad part tasted good though. The cases and refrigerators were really dirty as well
