The Lumpia Company holds such a special place in my heart (and stomach, of course).

There are not a ton of Filipino restaurants in the East Bay, but the Lumpia Company gives me exactly what I need every time I’m there. Every bite brings up a lot of nostalgia & is packed with flavor.

I often find myself here when the Warriors are playing, because they’re usually playing it on their big screen out on the patio area or at their bar. Who wouldn’t want to snack on Lumpia, Pork Belly Chips, and Macghetti while they’re watching the game?

Pro Tip: Use the pork belly chips to scoop up some Macghetti for the perfect bite!!

The first time I tried the Pork Belly Chips was earlier this year. For about $10 you get a heaping pile of thinly sliced, lightly battered then deep fried pork belly. You have the option between Sinigang (tamarind seasoning) and Adobo (soy sauce and vinegar seasoning). The sinigang is my favorite! It also comes with a side of seasoned vinegar & sweet chili sauce for dipping.

I always get the Macghetti too. You definitely have to order it Kuya size. This last time around, we got it ‘hella hot’ and it tastes like they mix in some Buldak Sauce. Such good combination!!! It definitely packs a punch though. Sometimes we like to mix it up and add a fried egg to it (totally forgot this time).

The owner is usually helping out around in the dining area, bar, and kitchen. I’ve never been able to catch his name, but he is always so hospitable & very dedicated to his restaurant.

I am so grateful that the Lumpia Company brings the community together from homemade meals to a fun game night. They even host comedy nights as well! I’ll definitely be joining for a good laugh at their next one.

First time here while on business trip. So many great choices. I ended up getting the chicken tinola. Maybe I’m just a big boy, but I was still hungry. So good though. The lumpia was cooked just right and the crunchiness was excellent.

Beautiful location, great atmosphere, and delicious food is what The Lumpia Company has. Located in one of the old pier buildings, it’s a huge place that serves as a little mini museum for the area of sorts if you roam around and read the little tidbits and facts about oakland and it’s location history. They have a great looking outdoor eating area if you prefer to be outside or you can stick to the very roomy indoors. They only had 2 people working there when we went on a Friday so the orders were a bit slow to come out but the staff were super friendly and chill guys. While we waitednfor our food,we just went and played a few games at the arcade area. There’s an arcade corner with a couple Arcade1up machines that let’s you play any of the machines for free……yes I said free. Each of the machines has a ton of different games loaded onto it so if you see the Mortal Kombat arcade1up it’s actually a Midway cabinet full of Midway games. 4 Player simpsons game was fun but 3’s a crowd since player 2 joystick was missing and also cramming 4 people into that corner is hard but hey give them credit for having it in the first place.

We ordered the Garlic Noodles,Garlic shrimp, dole whip, and lumpia. The garlic shrimp was good although I thought it would be nice if they had more chunks of garlic in there and a more pronounced garlic flavor. The shrimps were nicely grilled and were plump and delicious. The Garlic Noodles they made were of the dry style and not the dripping wet with sauce kind that I love. It’s decent enough but I wouldn’t go for it personally a second time. We got the chicken lumpia and it was the star of our order. The wrapper was deep fried until it was a perfect golden brown crunchy beauty on the outside and flavorful mix of ingredients on the inside. The dole whip we got was thick ,almost like frozen custard thick which was amazing. The pineapple flavor whip itself is a good palette cleanser or desert for the oily food you just ate but try to sprinkle some of the Li Hing Mui powder they have at the counter to kick the flavor up a notch.

It’s a great place to go with a bunch of friends or a huge party. There’s definitely plenty of seating all around the pier even if all the seats are taken up in and outside of the restaurant.

I was really excited to eat here for the first time because I heard a lot of good things about this restaurant. I ordered two 6 piece original chicken wings seasoned with Adobo. Unfortunately it was not to my liking at all. It tasted sweet and I could barely taste the Adobo seasoning. It definitely was missing some salt too.I was really disappointed because Filipino food is always cooked with a lot of flavor. The atmosphere is nice and the staff are alright. Staff is not welcoming or friendly. Low key rude! I am glad that I can finally say I tried their food, but I will not be a returning customer. I prefer authenticity, but I do admire the creativeness this restaurant is offering. BTW I came to this restaurant the day after Christmas. This experience made me want to cry TBH. So disappointed.

The food was really good … Kinda thrown off by the location as there is a big wall, not sure if it’s like decor or the vibe of the area but it looked condemned and we circled the block a few times until we figured it out. Parking is a bit tricky too and the spaces are tight.

The staff is super helpful and friendly! Prices are a little high but it’s expected with good food!

Went for Super Bowl Sunday I’ll never do that again. Lumpia taste like regular ones. You can get at the grocery store that are frozen. They were out of mostly all the sauces. I got the adobo fries. I don’t know what was adobo about them, but they tasted just like the regular fries. All the food came out cold. We were watching the game outside on the big TV and the volume was horrific sound quality poor it really wrong. The experience of the halftime show everybody outside was complaining, wanting to turn up the volume. All we heard were numbers being called out over the loudspeaker when we were trying to watch the game in the halftime show. I’m not impressed by the food at all if you’ve had real Filipino food, you’ll know what I’m talking about.
