Second time here and it did not disappoint! What a fun place with great vibes and very unique exceptional ways they serve their cocktails. Mecca is always very accommodating, great guy! Zeke took care of us today and was fabulous. I had the Elvis in Hawaii again because I just love how they present it and then tried the buried treasure and that was extremely fun and very tasty. They had the painkiller and the piña colada and said they were very very good. I recommend making reservations as it does fill up quickly. When they opened and I arrived, they gave everyone in the bar, a round of a free shot of rum. Very generous nice touch! They have a lovely decorated patio right off of the main room. Fabulous decor, and decorations everywhere and all the staff are extremely knowledgeable of their menu and a ton of fun! They really make the experience excellent! You can order some grub from tail o the pup downstairs, and they will bring it up to you or you can order from their own menu, which has some tasty tapas on it. Will be back!

Fun tiki bar that requires reservations in advance due to high demand. May be difficult to score a reservation. Located above Tail o’ the Pup through a semi-secret entrance, this is a very charming tiki bar with the usual tropical inspired decor from the imitation prey traps, the lamps, the beaded shades, and the general appearance of imitation bamboo everywhere. There is a 90 minute time limit which is enough time to consume drinks and food. I ordered the Ghost of Jim Morrison and the Give me a Little Head. The Ghost of Jim Morrison contains Coppali rum, blackberry shrub, and a burning rosemary. This was a smoky hard drink with delicious syrupy blackberries on top. The Give Me a Little Head contained Del Maguey Vida Mezcal, mint-infused honey syrup, and peche de vigne. This was a sweeter and slightly nicer drink to enjoy. There was also food options that you could order like the Lucky Tiki Pup and the Lemongrass Chicken. The Hot dog was a little hard to chew. It came with a pineapple ring and teriyaki sauce that was sweet but not overbearing on a toasted sweet Hawaiian bun. The Lemongrass chicken was hard to determine where the lemongrass flavor was. It was decent chicken but the sauce coating on the outside was much more reminiscent of standard orange chicken. It was fine to snack on but I would explore other options first next time. Limited street parking outside, not sure if there were any onsite parking spaces.

I’ve been to lots of Tiki Bars, but this one stands out! Located in the heart of LA, near Beverly Hills and in Hollywood, this route 66 Tiki Bar has charm, elegance and authenticity. Fantastic Tiki cocktails with a unique approach and flavor profile while still be honest to the originals. Great affordable food options including a hot dog from the downstairs icon “Tail of the Pup”. We tried lots of cocktails including their Mai Tai, Pina Colada and Painkiller, all of them right on the money. Clean and honest tiki decor and an outdoor patio. Strongly recommend!

It’s a tiny place, so make sure to make a reservation. I always like sitting at the bar. I really enjoy this spot, it’s small and intimate, and the bartender can make whatever you want. All the staff are friendly and will help you choose a drink.

Bryan was the bartender who took care of us for the evening, and he was fantastic! Didn’t rate “Food” as we only had some vegetable egg rolls (but they were yummy). Be sure to snag a reservation, as this is a popular bar, and plan ahead for parking, as it could be tricky. Overall, can’t wait to come back!

Thank you, Bryan, for your attention and your excellent drinks!

The food is fresh with well-balanced flavors, the atmosphere is cozy and super fun, the prices are reasonable, and it’s definitely one of the best speakeasies I’ve visited this year. You should make a reservation—I sat at the bar, and the experience was incredible

A Tiki-themed speakeasy ( … but be sure to try the pickles at Tail O’ the Pup ).
Very dark-lit ambiance, drinks served from tiki glasses (even bought souvenir tiki glasses to take home). The drinks were great, the atmosphere was great, the place was great.
Great place to go after The Comedy Store

Fantastic tiki bar! The drinks are legit amazing! We tried Elvis in Hawaii, 3 dots and a dash, the Lucky Tiki Mai tai, and the ghost of Jim Morrison. We loved them all! To eat we got coconut shrimp, gyoza, and popcorn chicken and all were great!

Their service was top notch. Sean was so fun and took great care of us. Some of the drinks trigger a fun, theatrical presentation, and Sean was amazing and hilarious, going all out to give us a great experience.

This place does everything you could want from a tiki bar so well! I’m sure this was the first of many visits. Thank you!

I stumbled upon this lovely speakeasy while exploring solo one evening. I did not have a reservation but the generous staff allowed me to squeeze in at the bar. I enjoyed the Lucky Tiki Mai Tai and the Captains Inner Circle. Ordered the Sassy Burger & Fries from the Tail of the Pup downstairs—delicious. I had an absolutely fantastic experience and highly recommend this cozy hidden gem and its amazing staff.
