Okay place for a quick bite. We stopped in for a early dinner and ran into some live music. It was decent but extremely loud. A one man guitar show playing classic 90s hits. I did like the dueling charcuterie board nice selection of cheese & meats. I will give service four stars because our server was honest. I left my credit card in the server book and she turned it in to the manager. I was able to get it back the next day! Thank you!

The Lucky Screw iin Fort Myers turned out to be a great spot. The food was much better than expected, the bar was big with a solid setup, and the service was friendly and efficient. There was live music when went, and it honestly seemed like everyone in there was a local. definitely be stopping back in next time I’m in town.

Dawn was our waitress. Food ordered at our table was: smash burger, fish and chips, and tripletail sandwich. We got loaded tots, you gotta try them. The tripletail was blackened. It was a delicious sandwich. Friend said smash burgers were not very good. Other friend said the batter on fish and chips was too thick. Dawn was our waitress. She was very friendly. It was nice to try once, but would not return.

Update: was contacted by the general manager who was more than professional. He pledged to get to the bottom of the issue. We will go back and give it another try at some point. What a downer! Went here on the recommendation of my brother. Sat at the bar. Bartender asked us what we were drinking. I asked if they had a specific beer. They didn’t. My husband ordered his beer. 5 minutes later I was asked if I was drinking anything. I told her I didn’t know because I didn’t know what they had. She handed me a drink menu and walked away. She came back. I ordered my drink. Never came back to check on us or ask if we needed anything or even if we wanted another drink. Meanwhile, a party of 8 came in, sat down, and walked out about 15 minutes later. Our intention was to have dinner. Never offered us a menu. I had to ask for the bill. Seemed as though the staff was more interested in conversing with the locals.

Great sports bar! Fantastic wall sized tv…many other tv’s to watch a variety of games. Great Bloody Mary and reasonably priced tequila shots (cantera negra which is a big step up from Julio, Patron or Amigos) Crispy wings and tater tots were a home run. The only complaint was 1 bartender/server for the entire place on opening day of college football?!? She did a fantastic job but she had her hands full. Oh and be careful of using GPS it wasn’t accurate

We were at the Edison and Ford home and wanted some lunch. We had read about several places downtown and decided to go to lunch at The Lucky Screw. They did not disappoint us. Place wasn’t very crowded. We got there right at noon. They have a very good lunch menu I will post and for $10 you can eat well. I had the fish sandwich with fries and my wife had the Coconut Shrimp with fries. Both entrees were delicious. If you find yourself hungry when you’re downtown you need to stop and have lunch here! We sat at the bar, but was quiet and staff was very friendly and the food came out fairly quick and was fresh plus well prepared. Just a heads up, there is a .75 cent charge for extra sauces It over all it was great!

Stopped in after the theater, bar was full but quite, a few tables with guests 3 staff behind the bar. I staff member making drinks, serving the bar patrons and trying to serve the tables 2 staff behind the bar doing nothing, they were talking with bar folks, stacking and unstacing mixing cups, as folks at tables waving menus and hands wanting service they were told we were will be there shortly. After 1hr we got up and left following other tired of the inept staff not proving or even attempting to provide service. This place needs some adequate management as now there is absolutely none. Good luck on profitability

We gave this place a try because a family member had recommended it but we would not go back. It was way overpriced for mediocre food. Out of the three options we got the pretzel was the best tasting one. I had ordered a chicken salad and the toppings were good but the lettuce was not fresh at all and was discolored. It wasn’t busy when we went so I would think they would have taken notice of the lettuce they were serving. It was a disappointing experience overall.

Food was decent for bar food but service wasn’t great upstairs. This place could be amazing but they do not make it feel welcoming at all, like they cater to other local service workers and let them get drunk and out of control. 2nd time this same thing happened, much better places close by.

During a recent stay at the Luminary, we decided to walk over and have dinner at The Lucky Screw based on the menu and some of the reviews. For some reason, my teen thought this place would be fancy – I laughed and said with their name, I figured it’d be a bar. But it’s not what I would consider bar food – it’s definitely nicer than that. We got there for happy hour on a Monday, and it was pretty empty. We had our pick of seats and had great service. There was live music somewhere – we sat in the front part and didn’t really walk around, so I have no idea where the guy was. He sure liked to test the mic a lot – my kid started counting the number of times he’d say, “testing 1, 2” – even after he had already started singing songs. This was quite amusing to my kid for some reason! Here is what we ordered and thought of each dish:
> Scampi dip – this was pretty good but SO rich. It comes with pita triangles, crostini and celery. There are some diced tomatoes on top, but you can’t even taste them. My son works in a restaurant, and we’re foodie geeks, so we were talking about how it needed more acid like maybe capers or pickled onions. The tomatoes are an acid, but they were so lost in this dish and doing nothing, so maybe just more tomatoes. Or diced red onions. I don’t know, but something to balance that yummy richness that is almost too much after a few bites. I’d recommend getting this if you have maybe four or more people, so each person isn’t getting too much which is what happened to us, I think.
> Loaded tots – these were pretty good. We’d order these again. Nice crunch on the tots. Ask for a side of Ranch dressing, tho. It has a Ranch “drizzle”, but if you like Ranch (like my kiddo!), get more.
> Buffalo Chicken flatbread – my son ordered this and really liked it. I didn’t try it as I am not into Buffalo. He did say it wasn’t that hot and could have used a bit more heat.
> Brazilian Picanha – this is what I ordered as I love Picanha and cook it at home all the time. I asked for it rare, and it came medium rare and almost even medium in parts. I hate sending food back, but I also am not a fan of overcooked meat. My second dish was cooked perfectly, but both pieces of meat were a little tough to cut. I got it with the house veg which was a broccoli and maybe pepper mix and was good. Instead of mashed potatoes, I got fries, and they were also good. I’m not sure I’d order this again, but that’s partly because I like how I cook it at home better (sorry, guys! Hard to beat smoking meat on a Traeger, lol).
So, overall, we liked the Lucky Screw and would eat here again and try some of the other dishes. I wish I could give them more like a 4.25. I think this place could be a lot of fun on a weekend night, too! Definitely give them a try!
